Gloria II

This is the other Gloria from LEVAS II

LEVAS 242 Glory to God    MIDI    MELODY

Glory to God in the Highest
And peace to His people on earth!
Lord God, Heavenly King,
Almighty God and Father,
We worship You, we give You thanks
We praise You for Your Glory!
Lord Jesus Christ, Only Son of the Father,
Lord God, Lamb of God
You take away the sin of the world
Have mercy on us
You are seated on the right hand of the Father
Receive our prayer
For you alone are the Holy One,
You alone are the Lord
You alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ
With the Holy Spirit
In the glory of God the Father
Amen, Amen, Amen. Amen.

69 In the Garden    MIDI   WAV
1 I come to the garden alone,
While the dew is still on the roses;
And the voice I hear, falling on my ear,
The Son of God discloses.
Refrain:
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own,
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.
2 He speaks, and the sound of His voice
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing;
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing. [Refrain]
3 I’d stay in the garden with Him
Though the night around me be falling;
But He bids me go through the voice of woe,
His voice to me is calling. [Refrain]
141 Shall We Gather At The River    MIDI    WAV
1 Shall we gather at the river,
Where bright angel feet have trod;
With its crystal tide forever
Flowing by the throne of God?
Refrain:
Yes, we’ll gather at the river,
The beautiful, the beautiful river;
Gather with the saints at the river
That flows by the throne of God.
2 On the margin of the river,
Washing up its silver spray,
We will walk and worship ever,
All the happy golden day. [Refrain]
3 Ere we reach the shining river,
Lay we ev’ry burden down;
Grace our spirits will deliver,
And provide a robe and crown. [Refrain]
4 Soon we’ll reach the shining river,
Soon our pilgrimage will cease,
Soon our happy hearts will quiver
With the melody of peace. [Refrain]

Warming up

It is very important to warm up before we sing. While warming up, TAKE IT EASY! Just like stretching before exercise, we want to gently relax and stretch our vocal cords, throats, mouths, and facial muscles. Keep the warm-up light and easy.

The exercises we use to warm up are

  • Ma Me Mi Mo Mu - lightly get our voices warmed up. PDF MIDI AUDIO VIDEO
    • Before starting the exercise, start by "positioning" your voice. Say the words "Amazing grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..."
    • Hold the M this your mouth closed. When everything is in the right position, you should feel your lips and teeth vibrating.
    • Now open your lips on EEE and keep everything else in position - you should still fee the vibration in your teeth. This is proper "position"
    • Now sing Ma Me Mi Mo Mu, keep it nice and easy, and feel for the vibration.

671 - Amazing Grace

1982 Hymnal

Verses:

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found; was blind but now I see.

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, and grace my fear relieved;
How precious did that grace appear the hour I first believed.

The Lord has promised good to me, His Word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be as long as life endures.

Through many dangers, toils and snares I have already come
'Tis grace that brought me safe thus far, and grace will lead me home.

When we've been there ten thousand year, bright shining as the sun,
We've no less days to sing God's praise than when we'd first begun.
