Be-hold, I bring you good news of great joy,
which will come to all the peo-ple;
for unto you is born this day
in the city of Da-vid,
a Sav-ior, who is Christ the Lord.
Be-hold, the dwelling of God is with man-kind.
He will dwell with them,
and they shall be his peo-ple,
and God him-self will be with them,
and He will be their God.
Lord, o-pen our lips.
And our mouth shall pro-claim your praise.
Glory to/the Fath-er, and to/the Son,
and to/the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in/the be-ginning, is now,
and will be for-ever A-men.
Sunday - Jubilate
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
Be joy-ful in/the Lord, all you lands;
serve the Lord with glad-ness
and come be-fore his presence with a song.
Know this: The Lord him-self is God;
He him-self has made us, and we are his;
we are his people and the sheep of his pas-ture.
Enter his gates with thanks-giv-ing;
go into his courts with praise;
Give thanks to him and call on his Name.
Be-cause the Lord is good;
his mercy is ever last-ing;
and his faithful-ness en-dures from age to age.
Psalms
Psalm 34
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
I will praise the Lord at all times;
my mouth will con-tinual-ly praise him.
I will boast in/the Lord;
let the op-pressed hear and re-joice!
Mag-ni-fy the Lord with me!
Let's praise his name to-geth-er!
I sought the Lord's help
and he has an-swered me;
He de-livered me from all my fear.
Look to him and be radi-ant;
do not let your faces be a-shamed.
This op-pressed man cried out and the Lord heard;
He saved him from all his trou-ble.
The Lord's angel camps a-round the Lord's loyal follow-ers
and de-livers them.
Taste and see that the Lord is good!
How blessed is the one who takes shelter in him!
Fear the Lord, you chosen people of his,
For those who fear him lack noth-ing!
Even young lions sometimes lack food and are hun-gry.
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
Come children! List-en to me!
I will teach you what it means to fear the Lord.
Do you want to really live?
Would you love to live a long, happy life?
Then make sure you don’t speak evil words or use de-cep-tive speech!
Turn a-way from evil and do what is right!
Strive for peace and pro-mote it!
The Lord pays at-tention to/the god-ly
and hears their cry for help.
But the Lord op-poses evil-do-ers
and wipes out all memo-ry of them from/the earth.
The god-ly cry out and the Lord hears;
he saves them from all their trou-ble.
The Lord is near the broken heart-ed;
he de-livers those who are dis-cour-aged.
The god-ly face many dan-gers,
but the Lord saves them from each one of them.
He pro-tects all his bones;
not one of them is bro-ken.
E-vil people self-de-struct;
those who hate the god-ly are pun-ished.
The Lord rescues his serv-ants;
all who take shelter in him es-cape punish-ment.
Glory to/the Fath-er, and to/the Son,
and to/the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in/the be-ginning, is now,
and will be for ever A-men.
Readings
A reading from 1 Kings 19:1-8
Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and how he had killed all the prophets with the sword. Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, "So may the gods do to me, and more also, if I do not make your life like the life of one of them by this time tomorrow. "Then he was afraid; he got up and fled for his life, and came to Beer-sheba, which belongs to Judah; he left his servant there. But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a solitary broom tree. He asked that he might die: "It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life, for I am no better than my ancestors. "Then he lay down under the broom tree and fell asleep. Suddenly an angel touched him and said to him, "Get up and eat. "He looked, and there at his head was a cake baked on hot stones, and a jar of water. He ate and drank, and lay down again. The angel of the LORD came a second time, touched him, and said, "Get up and eat, otherwise the journey will be too much for you. "He got up, and ate and drank; then he went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights to Horeb the mount of God.

Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
Glory to God in/the high-est,
and peace to his people on earth.
Lord God, heaven-ly King,
al-might-y God and Fath-er,
We worship you, we give you thanks,
We praise you for your glo-ry.
Lord Je-sus Christ, only Son of/the Fath-er,
Lord God, _ Lamb of God,
You take/a-way the sin of/the world:
have mer-cy up-on us;
you are seated at/the right hand of/the Fath-er:
re-ceive _ our pray-er.
For you a-lone are/the Ho-ly One,
You a-lone are the Lord,
You a-lone are/the Most High, Je-sus Christ,
with/the Ho-ly Spi-rit, in/the glory of God the Fath-er.
A reading from John 6:1-14
After this Jesus went to the other side of the Sea of Galilee, also called the Sea of Tiberias. A large crowd kept following him, because they saw the signs that he was doing for the sick. Jesus went up the mountain and sat down there with his disciples. Now the Passover, the festival of the Jews, was near. When he looked up and saw a large crowd coming toward him, Jesus said to Philip, "Where are we to buy bread for these people to eat? "He said this to test him, for he himself knew what he was going to do. Philip answered him, "Six months' wages would not buy enough bread for each of them to get a little. "One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, said to him, "There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish. But what are they among so many people? "Jesus said, "Make the people sit down. " Now there was a great deal of grass in the place; so they sat down, about five thousand in all. Then Jesus took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated; so also the fish, as much as they wanted. When they were satisfied, he told his disciples, "Gather up the fragments left over, so that nothing may be lost. "So they gathered them up, and from the fragments of the five barley loaves, left by those who had eaten, they filled twelve baskets. When the people saw the sign that he had done, they began to say, "This is indeed the prophet who is to come into the world. "
Here ends the reading.

Sunday - Second Song of Isaiah
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
Seek/the Lord while he wills to/be found;
call/up-on him when he draws near.
Let/the wicked for-sake their ways
and the evil ones their thoughts;
And let them turn to/the Lord,
and he will have com-pas-sion,
Let them/re-turn/to our God,
for he will rich-ly par-don.
For my thoughts are/not your thoughts,
nor your ways my ways, says/the Lord.
For as/the heavens are higher than the earth,
so/are my ways higher than your ways,
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
For/as rain and snow fall from/the heav-ens
and re-turn not/a-gain,
but wat-er the whole earth,
Bring-ing forth life
and giving a-bun-dant growth
And seed for re-plan-ting
and bread/and fruit for eat-ing,
So/is my word that goes forth from my mouth;
it will not/re-turn/to me emp-ty;
But/it will ac-complish that which I have pur-posed,
and prosper in that for which I sent it.
Glory to/the Fath-er, and to/the Son,
and to/the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in/the be-ginning, is now,
and will be for-ever A-men.
