Grace to you and peace from God our Fa-ther
and from/the Lord Je-sus Christ.
Worship the Lord in/the beauty of his holi-ness;
let/the whole earth trem-ble be-fore him.
Let my prayer be set forth/in your sight as in-cense,
the lifting up/of my hands as/the evening sacri-fice.
I will bless the Lord who gives/me coun-sel;
my heart teaches me, night after night.
I have set/the Lord always be-fore me;
be-cause he is/at my right hand, I shall not fall.
O God, make speed/to save us.
O Lord, make haste/to help us.
Glory to/the Fath-er, and to/the Son,
and to/the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in/the be-ginning, is now,
and will be for-ever A-men.
Tuesday - O Gracious Light
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
O gracious light, pure bright-ness
of the ever-living Father in heav-en,
O Je-sus Christ, holy and bless-ed!
we sing your praises, O God!
Now as/we come to/the setting of/the sun,
and our eyes be-hold/the vesper light,
we sing your praises, O God:
Father, Son, and Ho-ly Spi-rit.
You are worthy at all times
to be praised by happy voic-es,
O Son of God, O Giver of life,
and/to be glori-fied through all the worlds.

Give thanks to/the Lord, for he is good
Yes, his loyal love en-dures for-ev-er!
Let all Isra-el say,
Yes, his loyal love en-dures for-ev-er!
Let the fami-ly of Aa-ron say,
Yes, his loyal love en-dures for-ev-er!
Let the loyal follow-ers of/the Lord say,
Yes, his loyal love en-dures for-ev-er!
In my dis-tress
I cried _ out to/the Lord.
The Lord an-swered me
and put me in a wide o-pen place.
The Lord is on my side, I am not a-fraid!
What can people do to me?
The Lord is on my side as my help-er.
I look in triumph on those who hate me.
It is better to take shelter in/the Lord
than to trust in peo-ple.
It is better to take shelter in/the Lord
than to trust in princ-es.
All the nations sur-rounded me.
In/the name of/the Lord I pushed them a-way.
They sur-rounded me, yes, they sur-rounded me.
In/the name of/the Lord I pushed them a-way.
They sur-rounded me like bees.
In/the name of/the Lord I pushed them a-way.
But they disap-peared as quickly as/a fire a-mong thorns.
In/the name of/the Lord I pushed them a-way.
You ag-gressive-ly at-tacked me
and tried to knock me down,
but the Lord helped me.
The Lord gives me strength and pro-tects me;
He has be-come my de-liver-er.
They cele-brate de-liver-ance in/the tents of/the god-ly.
The Lord's right hand con-quers,
the Lord's right hand gives vic-to-ry,
The Lord's right hand con-quers.
I will not die, but live,
and I will pro-claim what the Lord has done.
The Lord se-verely pun-ished me,
but he did not hand me over to death.
Open for me the gates of/the just king's tem-ple!
I will en-ter through them
and give thanks _ to/the Lord.
This is the Lord's gate
the god-ly en-ter through it.
I will give you thanks, for you answered me,
and have be-come my de-liver-er.
The stone which the builders re-ject-ed
has be-come the corner-stone.
This is the Lord's do-ing.
It is a-mazing in our sight!
This is the day the Lord has made.
We will be glad and re-joice in it.
Please Lord, de-liv-er!
Lord, please grant us suc-cess!
May the one who comes in/the name of/the Lord be blessed!
We will pro-nounce blessings on you in/the Lord's tem-ple.
The Lord is God
and he has de-livered us.
You are my God
and I will give you thanks!
You are my God
and I will al-ways praise you!
Give thanks to/the Lord, for he is good
and his loyal love en-dures for-ev-er!
This is the day the Lord has made.
We will be glad and re-joice in it.
Glory to/the Fath-er, and to/the Son,
and to/the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in/the be-ginning, is now,
and will be for-ever A-men.
Readings
A reading from Ezekiel 34:11-16
For thus says the Lord : I myself will search for my sheep, and will seek them out. As shepherds seek out their flocks when they are among their scattered sheep, so I will seek out my sheep. I will rescue them from all the places to which they have been scattered on a day of clouds and thick darkness. I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries, and will bring them into their own land; and I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the watercourses, and in all the inhabited parts of the land. I will feed them with good pasture, and the mountain heights of Israel shall be their pasture; there they shall lie down in good grazing land, and they shall feed on rich pasture on the mountains of Israel. I myself will be the shepherd of my sheep, and I will make them lie down, says the Lord . I will seek the lost, and I will bring back the strayed, and I will bind up the injured, and I will strengthen the weak, but the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will feed them with justice.
Here ends the reading.
Thanks be to God!
Tuesday - Third Song of Isaiah
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
A-rise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of/the Lord has dawned up-on you.
For/be-hold, darkness covers the land;
deep gloom en-shrouds the peo-ples.
But over you the Lord will rise,
and his glory will/ap-pear up-on you.
Nations will stream to your light,
and kings to/the brightness of your dawn-ing.
Your gates will always be o-pen;
by day or night they will never be shut.
They will call you, The City of/the Lord,
The Zion of/the Holy One of Is-ra-el.
Vio-lence will/no more be heard in your land,
ruin or de-struction with-in your bor-ders.
You will call your walls, Sal-va-tion,
and all your por-tals, Praise.
The sun will/no more be your light by day;
by night you will/not need the brightness of/the moon.
The Lord will be your ever-last-ing light,
and your God will be your glo-ry.
Glory to/the Fath-er, and to/the Son,
and to/the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in/the be-ginning, is now,
and will be for ever. A-men.
A reading from John 21:15-22
When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon son of John, do you love me more than these? " He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I love you. " Jesus said to him, "Feed my lambs. "A second time he said to him, "Simon son of John, do you love me? " He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I love you. " Jesus said to him, "Tend my sheep. "He said to him the third time, "Simon son of John, do you love me? " Peter felt hurt because he said to him the third time, "Do you love me? " And he said to him, "Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you. " Jesus said to him, "Feed my sheep. Very truly, I tell you, when you were younger, you used to fasten your own belt and to go wherever you wished. But when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will fasten a belt around you and take you where you do not wish to go. "(He said this to indicate the kind of death by which he would glorify God. ) After this he said to him, "Follow me. "
Peter turned and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them; he was the one who had reclined next to Jesus at the supper and had said, "Lord, who is it that is going to betray you? "When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, "Lord, what about him? "Jesus said to him, "If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? Follow me!"
Here ends the reading.
Thanks be to God!
Tuesday - You are God
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
You are God: we praise you;
You are the Lord; we ac-claim you;
You are the e-ter-nal Fath-er:
All cre-a-tion wor-ships you.
To you all an-gels, all the powers of heav-en,
Cher-u-bim and Ser-a-phim, sing in end-less praise:
Holy, ho-ly, holy Lord, God of power and might,
heav-en and earth are full of your glo-ry.
The glori-ous compan-y of a-postles praises you.
The no-ble fellow-ship of proph-ets praises you.
The white-robed army of mar-tyrs praises you.
Through-out the world the holy Church ac-claims you;
Fath-er, of majes-ty un-bound-ed,
your true and only Son, worthy of all wor-ship,
and the Ho-ly Spi-rit, advo-cate and guide.
Three in one, we praise you for ev-er.
You, Christ, are the king of glo-ry,
the e-ter-nal Son of/the Fath-er.
When you be-came man to set us free
you did not shun the Vir-gin's womb.
You over-came the sting of death
and o-pened the kingdom of heaven to all be-liev-ers.
You are seated at God's right hand in glo-ry.
We be-lieve that you will come and be our judge.
Come then, Lord, and help your peo-ple,
bought with/the price of your own blood,
and bring us with your saints
to glo-ry ever-last-ing.

We/be-lieve in God, the Father al-might-y,
cre-ator of heaven and earth.
We/be-lieve in Je-sus Christ,
his on-ly son, our Lord.

and born of/the Vir-gin Mar-y.
He suffered under Pon-tius Pi-late,
was cruci-fied, died, and was bur-ied.
He de-scended to/the dead.
On/the third day he rose a-gain.
He a-scended into heav-en,
and is seated at/the right hand of/the Fath-er.
He will come a-gain
to judge the living and the dead.
We/be-lieve in/the Ho-ly Spi-rit,

Show us your mercy, O Lord;
And grant us your sal-va-tion.
Clothe your minis-ters with righteous-ness;
Let your people sing with joy.
Give peace, O Lord, in all the world;
For only in you can we live in safe-ty.
Lord, keep this nation under your care;
And guide us in/the way of justice and truth.
Let your way be known up-on earth;
Your saving health among all na-tions.
Let not the needy, O Lord, be for-got-ten;
Nor the hope of/the poor be taken a-way.
Cre-ate in us clean hearts, O God;
And sus-tain us by your Holy Spi-rit.
Show us your mercy, O Lord;
And grant us your sal-va-tion.
Collect of the Day
Almighty God, whose Son Jesus Christ in his earthly life shared our toil and hallowed our labor: Be present with your people where they work; make those who carry on the industries and commerce of this land responsive to your will; and give to us all a pride in what we do, and a just return for our labor; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
Amen.
A Collect for Aid against Perils
Be our light in the darkness, O Lord, and in your great mercy defend us from all perils and dangers of this night; for the love of your only Son, our Savior Jesus Christ.
Amen.
Prayer for Mission
O God and Father of all, whom the whole heavens adore: Let the whole earth also worship you, all nations obey you, all tongues confess and bless you, and men and women everywhere love you and serve you in peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

A Prayer of Saint Chrysostom
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
Al-might-y God,
you have given us grace at this time
with one ac-cord
to make our common suppli-cation to you;
and you have prom-ised
through your well be-loved Son
that when two/or three are gathered in his Name
you will be in/the midst of them:
Ful-fill now, O Lord, our de-sires and pe-ti-tions
as may be best for us;
granting us in this world knowledge of your truth,
and in/the age to come life ever-lasting. A-men.
