Grace to you and peace from God our Fa-ther
and from/the Lord Je-sus Christ.
Worship the Lord in/the beauty of his holi-ness;
let/the whole earth trem-ble be-fore him.
Let my prayer be set forth/in your sight as in-cense,
the lifting up/of my hands as/the evening sacri-fice.
I will bless the Lord who gives/me coun-sel;
my heart teaches me, night after night.
I have set/the Lord always be-fore me;
be-cause he is/at my right hand, I shall not fall.
O God, make speed/to save us.
O Lord, make haste/to help us.
Glory to/the Fath-er, and to/the Son,
and to/the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in/the be-ginning, is now,
and will be for-ever A-men.
Saturday - O Gracious Light
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
O gracious light, pure bright-ness
of the ever-living Father in heav-en,
O Je-sus Christ, holy and bless-ed!
we sing your praises, O God!
Now as/we come to/the setting of/the sun,
and our eyes be-hold/the vesper light,
we sing your praises, O God:
Father, Son, and Ho-ly Spi-rit.
You are worthy at all times
to be praised by happy voic-es,
O Son of God, O Giver of life,
and/to be glori-fied through all the worlds.

Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from/the sky!
Praise _ him in/the heav-ens!
Praise him, all his an-gels!
Praise him, all his heaven-ly as-sem-bly!
Praise him, O sun and moon!
Praise him, all you shin-y stars!
Praise him, O highest heav-en,
and you waters a-bove the sky!
Let them praise the name of/the Lord,
for he gave the com-mand
and they came into ex-ist-ence.
He es-tab-lished them so they would en-dure;
he issued a de-cree
that will not be re-voked.
Praise the Lord from/the earth,
you sea creatures and all you ocean depths,
O fire and hail, snow and clouds,
O stormy wind that carries out his or-ders,
you mountains and all you hills,
you fruit trees and/all you ce-dars,
you ani-mals and all you cat-tle,
you cree-ping things and birds,
you kings of/the earth and all you na-tions,
you princes and all you leaders on/the earth,
you young women and young men,
you elder-ly, a-long with you chil-dren!
Let them praise the name of/the Lord,
for his name a-lone is ex-alt-ed;
his majes-ty ex-tends over the earth and sky.
He has made his people vic-tori-ous,
and given all his loyal follow-ers reason to praise the Isra-elites,
the people who are close to him. Praise the Lord!
Glory to/the Fath-er, and to/the Son,
and to/the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in/the be-ginning, is now,
and will be for-ever A-men.
Readings
A reading from Colossians 2:6-12
As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the universe, and not according to Christ. For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have come to fullness in him, who is the head of every ruler and authority. In him also you were circumcised with a spiritual circumcision, by putting off the body of the flesh in the circumcision of Christ;when you were buried with him in baptism, you were also raised with him through faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead.
Here ends the reading.
Thanks be to God!
Saturday - Glory to God
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
Glory to God in/the high-est,
and peace to his people on earth.
Lord God, heaven-ly King,
al-might-y God and Fath-er,
We worship you, we give you thanks,
We praise you for your glo-ry.
Lord Je-sus Christ, only Son of/the Fath-er,
Lord God, _ Lamb of God,
You take/a-way the sin of/the world:
have mer-cy up-on us;
you are seated at/the right hand of/the Fath-er:
re-ceive _ our pray-er.
For you a-lone are/the Ho-ly One,
You a-lone are the Lord,
You a-lone are/the Most High, Je-sus Christ,
with/the Ho-ly Spi-rit, in/the glory of God the Fath-er.
A reading from John 16:23-30
On that day you will ask nothing of me. Very truly, I tell you, if you ask anything of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete. "I have said these things to you in figures of speech. The hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figures, but will tell you plainly of the Father. On that day you will ask in my name. I do not say to you that I will ask the Father on your behalf;for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God.
I came from the Father and have come into the world; again, I am leaving the world and am going to the Father. "His disciples said, "Yes, now you are speaking plainly, not in any figure of speech!Now we know that you know all things, and do not need to have anyone question you; by this we believe that you came from God. "
Here ends the reading.
Thanks be to God!
Saturday - Second Song of Isaiah
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
Seek/the Lord while he wills to/be found;
call/up-on him when he draws near.
Let/the wicked for-sake their ways
and the evil ones their thoughts;
And let them turn to/the Lord,
and he will have com-pas-sion,
Let them/re-turn/to our God,
for he will rich-ly par-don.
For my thoughts are/not your thoughts,
nor your ways my ways, says/the Lord.
For as/the heavens are higher than the earth,
so/are my ways higher than your ways,
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
For/as rain and snow fall from/the heav-ens
and re-turn not/a-gain,
but wat-er the whole earth,
Bring-ing forth life
and giving a-bun-dant growth
And seed for re-plan-ting
and bread/and fruit for eat-ing,
So/is my word that goes forth from my mouth;
it will not/re-turn/to me emp-ty;
But/it will ac-complish that which I have pur-posed,
and prosper in that for which I sent it.
Glory to/the Fath-er, and to/the Son,
and to/the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in/the be-ginning, is now,
and will be for-ever A-men.

We/be-lieve in God, the Father al-might-y,
cre-ator of heaven and earth.
We/be-lieve in Je-sus Christ,
his on-ly son, our Lord.
He was/con-ceived by/the power of/the Ho-ly Spi-rit
and born of/the Vir-gin Mar-y.
He suffered under Pon-tius Pi-late,
was cruci-fied, died, and was bur-ied.
He de-scended to/the dead.
On/the third day he rose a-gain.
He a-scended into heav-en,
and is seated at/the right hand of/the Fath-er.
He will come a-gain
to judge the living and the dead.
We/be-lieve in/the Ho-ly Spi-rit,
the _ holy catho-lic Church,
the com-munion of saints,
the for-give-ness of sins,
the resur-rec-tion of/the bod-y,
and the life ever-lasting. A-men.

That this evening may be holy, good, and peace-ful,
We en-treat you, O Lord.

We en-treat you, O Lord.
Collect of the Day
Father in heaven, by your grace the virgin mother of your incarnate Son was blessed in bearing him, but still more blessed in keeping your word: Grant us who honor the exaltation of her lowliness to follow the example of her devotion to your will; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
A Collect for Saturdays
O God, the source of eternal light: Shed forth your unending day upon us who watch for you, that our lips may praise you, our lives may bless you, and our worship on the morrow give you glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Prayer for Mission
O God and Father of all, whom the whole heavens adore: Let the whole earth also worship you, all nations obey you, all tongues confess and bless you, and men and women everywhere love you and serve you in peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

A Prayer of Saint Chrysostom
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
Al-might-y God,
you have given us grace at this time
with one ac-cord
to make our common suppli-cation to you;
and you have prom-ised
through your well be-loved Son
that when two/or three are gathered in his Name
you will be in/the midst of them:
Ful-fill now, O Lord, our de-sires and pe-ti-tions
as may be best for us;
granting us in this world knowledge of your truth,
and in/the age to come life ever-lasting. A-men.
