May God bless us!
May God, our God, bless us!
Then all/the ends of/the earth
will give him the honor he de-serves.

May God show/us his favor and bless us!
May he smile up-on us!
Then those living on earth will know what you are like;
all nations will know how you de-liver your peo-ple.

Let foreign-ers re-joice and cele-brate!
For you exe-cute justice a-mong the na-tions,
O God, make speed to save us.
O Lord, make haste to help us.

Glory to/the Fath-er, and to/the Son,
and to/the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in/the be-ginning, is now,
and will be for-ever A-men.

Psalm 127

Tenor     Soprano     Response     Cantor     Bass     Alto     PDF     All

If the Lord does not build a house,
then those who build it work in vain.
If the Lord does not guard a cit-y,
then the watch-man stands guard for naught.

It is vain for you to rise ear-ly,
for you to come home so late,
and work so hard for your food.
Yes, he pro-vides for those whom he loves

E-ven when they sleep he pro-vides.
Yes, sons are a gift from/the Lord,
the fruit of/the womb is a re-ward.
Sons born during one's youth are like arrows in a warri-ors hand.

How blessed is the man
who fills his quiver with them!
They will not be put to shame
when they con-front ene-mies at/the cit-y gate.

Glory to/the Fath-er, and to/the Son,
and to/the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in/the be-ginning, is now,
and will be for-ever A-men.

Readings

A reading from John 13:20-35

Very truly, I tell you, whoever receives one whom I send receives me; and whoever receives me receives him who sent me. "After saying this Jesus was troubled in spirit, and declared, "Very truly, I tell you, one of you will betray me. "The disciples looked at one another, uncertain of whom he was speaking. One of his disciples—the one whom Jesus loved—was reclining next to him;Simon Peter therefore motioned to him to ask Jesus of whom he was speaking. So while reclining next to Jesus, he asked him, "Lord, who is it? "Jesus answered, "It is the one to whom I give this piece of bread when I have dipped it in the dish. " So when he had dipped the piece of bread, he gave it to Judas son of Simon Iscariot. After he received the piece of bread, Satan entered into him. Jesus said to him, "Do quickly what you are going to do. "Now no one at the table knew why he said this to him. Some thought that, because Judas had the common purse, Jesus was telling him, "Buy what we need for the festival"; or, that he should give something to the poor. So, after receiving the piece of bread, he immediately went out. And it was night.

When he had gone out, Jesus said, "Now the Son of Man has been glorified, and God has been glorified in him. If God has been glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself and will glorify him at once. Little children, I am with you only a little longer. You will look for me; and as I said to the Jews so now I say to you, 'Where I am going, you cannot come. 'I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. "

Here ends the reading.
Thanks be to God!

Monday - Our Father

Tenor     Soprano     Response     Cantor     Bass     Alto     PDF     All

The Lord be with you.
And al-so with _ you.
Our Father in heav-en,
hal-low-ed be your Name.

Your king-dom come,
your will be done on earth
as/it is in heav-en.
Give us to-day our daily bread.

For-give us our sins
as we _ for-give those
who sin a-gainst us.
Save us from/the time of tri-al

De-liver us from e-vil.
For the king-dom, the power,
and the glory are yours,
now and for-ever A-men.

Collect of the Day

Almighty Savior, who at noonday called your servant Saint Paul to be an apostle to the Gentiles: We pray you to illumine the world with the radiance of your glory, that all nations may come and worship you; for you live and reign for ever and ever.

Amen.

A Collect for Peace

O God, the King eternal, whose light divides the day from the night and turns the shadow of death into the morning: Drive far from us all wrong desires, incline our hearts to keep your law, and guide our feet into the way of peace; that, having done your will with cheerfulness while it was day, we may, when night comes, rejoice to give you thanks; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Prayer for Mission

O God, you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth, and sent your blessed Son to preach peace to those who are far off and to those who are near: Grant that people everywhere may seek after you and find you; bring the nations into your fold; pour out your Spirit upon all flesh; and hasten the coming of your kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.
