The Lord is in his holy tem-ple;
let all the earth keep silence be-fore him
I was glad when they said to me,
Let us go to/the house of/the Lord.
Let the words of my mouth
and the medi-ta-tion of my heart
be ac-cepta-ble in your sight, O Lord,
my strength and my re-deem-er.
Thus says the high and lofty One
who in-habits e-terni-ty,
whose name is Ho-ly,
I dwell in/the high and holy place
Send out your light
and your truth, that they may lead me,
and bring me to your holy hill
and to your dwel-ling place.
Give thanks to/the Lord, and call on his Name;
make known his deeds a-mong the peo-ples.
Lord, o-pen our lips.
And our mouth shall pro-claim your praise.
Glory to/the Fath-er, and to/the Son,
and to/the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in/the be-ginning, is now,
and will be for ever A-men.
Friday - Jubilate
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
Be joy-ful in/the Lord, all you lands;
serve the Lord with glad-ness
and come be-fore his presence with a song.
Know this: The Lord him-self is God;
He him-self has made us, and we are his;
we are his people and the sheep of his pas-ture.
Enter his gates with thanks-giv-ing;
go into his courts with praise;
Give thanks to him and call on his Name.
Be-cause the Lord is good;
his mercy is ever last-ing;
and his faithful-ness en-dures from age to age.
Psalms
Psalm 2

Why do the na-tions re-bel?
Why are the coun-tries de-vising plots that will fail?
The kings of/the earth
form a u-nit-ed front;
the rulers col-lab-o-rate
a-gainst the Lord and his a-nointed king.
They say, Let us tear off
the shackles they have put on us!
Let us free our-selves from their rope!
The one en-throned in heaven laughs in dis-gust;
the Lord taunts _ them.
Then he an-grily speaks to them
and terri-fies them in his rage, say-ing,
I my-self have in-stalled my king
on Zi-on, my holy hill.
The king says, I will/an-nounce the Lord's de-cree.
He said to me: You are my son!
This very day I have be-come your fath-er!
Ask me, and I will give you
the na-tions as your in-herit-ance,
the ends of/the earth
as your per-son-al proper-ty.
You will break them
with an i-ron scep-ter;
You will smash them like a potter's jar!
So now, you kings, do what is wise;
you rulers of/the earth,
sub-mit to cor-rec-tion!
Serve the Lord in fear! Re-pent in ter-ror!
Give God sin-cere hom-age!
Other-wise he will be an-gry,
and you will sure-ly die
Be-cause of your be-hav-ior,
when his an-ger quickly ig-nites.
How blessed are all
who _ take shelter in him!
Glory to/the Fath-er, and to/the Son,
and to/the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in/the be-ginning, is now,
and will be for-ever A-men.
Psalm 24
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
The Lord owns the earth and all/it con-tains,
the world and all who live in it.
For he set its foun-dation up-on the sea,
and es-tab-lished it up-on/the o-cean cur-rents.
Who is al-lowed to a-scend the mountain of/the Lord?
Who may go up to his holy dwelling place?
The one whose deeds are blame-less
and whose mo-tives are pure,
Who does not lie,
or make prom-ises with no in-tention of keeping them.
Such god-ly people are re-warded by/the Lord,
and vindi-cat-ed by/the God who de-livers them.
Such pu-rity have the people who seek his fa-vor,
Ja-cob’s de-scendants, who pray to him.
Look up, you gates!
Rise up, you e-ter-nal doors!
Then the ma-jestic king will en-ter!
Who is this ma-jestic king?
The Lord who is strong and might-y!
The Lord who is mighty in bat-tle!
Look up, you gates!
Rise up, you e-ter-nal doors!
Then the ma-jestic king will en-ter!
Who is this ma-jestic king?
The Lord of Heaven’s Ar-my!
He is the ma-jestic king!
The Lord who is strong and might-y!
He is the ma-jestic king!
Glory to/the Fath-er, and to/the Son,
and to/the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in/the be-ginning, is now,
and will be for ever A-men.
Readings
A reading from Exodus 24:12-18
The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain and remain there, and I will give you the stone tablets with the law and the commandments that I have written, so that you may teach them.” So Moses set out with Joshua his attendant, and Moses went up the mountain of God. He told the elders, “Wait for us in this place until we return to you. Here are Aaron and Hur with you. Whoever has any matters of dispute can approach them.”
Moses went up the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain. The glory of the Lord resided on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it for six days. On the seventh day he called to Moses from within the cloud. Now the appearance of the glory of the Lord was like a devouring fire on the top of the mountain in plain view of the people. Moses went into the cloud when he went up the mountain, and Moses was on the mountain 40 days and 40 nights.
Here ends the reading.
Thanks be to God!
Friday - Song of Praise
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
Glory to you, Lord God of our fath-ers;
you are worthy of praise; glory to you.
Glory to you for/the radi-ance of your holy Name;
we will praise you and highly ex-alt you for ev-er.
Glory to you in/the splen-dor of your tem-ple;
on the throne of your maj-es-ty, glory to you.
Glory to you, seated be-tween the Cher-u-bim;
we will praise you and highly ex-alt you for ev-er.
Glory to you, be-hold-ing the depths;
in the high vault of heav-en, glory to you.
Glory to you, Fath-er, Son, and Ho-ly Spi-rit;
we will praise you and highly ex-alt you for ev-er.
A reading from 2 Corinthians 4:1-6
Therefore, since we have this ministry, just as God has shown us mercy, we do not become discouraged. But we have rejected shameful hidden deeds, not behaving with deceptiveness or distorting the word of God, but by open proclamation of the truth we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience before God. But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing, among whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of those who do not believe so they would not see the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God. For we do not proclaim ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your slaves for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said “Let light shine out of darkness,” is the one who shined in our hearts to give us the light of the glorious knowledge of God in the face of Christ.
Here ends the reading.
Thanks be to God!
Friday - Song of Simeon
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
Lord, you now have set your ser-vant free
to go in peace as you have prom-ised;
For these eyes of mine have seen the Sav-ior,
whom you have pre-pared for all the world to see:
A Light to en-light-en the na-tions,
and the glory of your people Is-ra-el.
Lord, you now have set your ser-vant free
to go in peace as you have prom-ised;
Glory to/the Fath-er, and to/the Son,
and to/the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in/the be-ginning, is now,
and will be for-ever. A-men.
Prayers
Friday Creed
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
We be-lieve in God, the Fath-er al-might-y,
cre-a-tor of heaven and earth.
We be-lieve in Je-sus Christ,
his on-ly son, our Lord.
He was con-ceived by/the power of/the Ho-ly Spi-rit
and born of/the Vir-gin Mar-y.
He suffered under Pon-tius Pi-late,
was cruci-fied, died, and was bur-ied.
He de-scended to/the dead.
On the third day he rose a-gain.
He a-scended into heav-en,
and is seated at/the right hand of/the Fath-er.
He will come a-gain
to judge the living and the dead.
We be-lieve in/the Ho-ly Spi-rit,
the _ holy catho-lic Church,
the com-mun-ion of saints,
the for-give-ness of sins,
the resur-rec-tion of/the bod-y,
and the life ever-last-ing. A-men.
Friday - Our Father
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
The Lord be with you.
And al-so with _ you.
Our Fath-er in heav-en,
hal-low-ed be your Name.
Your king-dom come,
your will be done on earth
as it is in heav-en.
Give us to-day our dai-ly bread.
For-give us our sins
as we _ for-give those
who sin a-gainst us.
Save us from/the time of tri-al,
De-liver us from e-vil.
For the king-dom, the pow-er,
and the glory are yours,
now and for-ever A-men.

Show us your mer-cy, O Lord;
And grant us your sal-va-tion.
Clothe your minis-ters with righteous-ness;
Let your people sing with joy.
Give peace, O Lord, in all the world;
For only in you can we live in safe-ty.
Lord, keep this na-tion under your care;
And guide us in/the way of justice and truth.
Let your way be known up-on earth;
Your sav-ing health a-mong all na-tions.
Let not the need-y, O Lord, be for-got-ten;
Nor the hope of/the poor be taken a-way.
Cre-ate in us clean hearts, O God;
And sus-tain us with your Ho-ly Spi-rit.
Show us your mer-cy, O Lord;
And grant us your sal-va-tion.
Collects of the Day
O God, you have prepared for those who love you such good things as surpass our understanding: Pour into our hearts such love towards you, that we, loving you in all things and above all things, may obtain your promises, which exceed all that we can desire; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
A Collect for Fridays
Almighty God, whose most dear Son went not up to joy but first he suffered pain, and entered not into glory before he was crucified: Mercifully grant that we, walking in the way of the cross, may find it none other than the way of life and peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Prayer for Mission
Lord Jesus Christ, you stretched out your arms of love on the hard wood of the cross that everyone might come within the reach of your saving embrace: So clothe us in your Spirit that we, reaching forth our hands in love, may bring those who do not know you to the knowledge and love of you; for the honor of your Name.
Amen.
