Invitation
Confession
Most merciful God,
we confess that we have sinned against you
in thought, word, and deed,
by what we have done,
and by what we have left undone.
We have not loved you with our whole heart;
we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves.
We are truly sorry and we humbly repent.
For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ,
have mercy on us and forgive us;
that we may delight in your will,
and walk in your ways,
to the glory of your Name.
Amen
May Almighty God have mercy on us,
forgive us all our sins
through our Lord Jesus Christ,
strengthen us in all goodness,
and by the power of the Holy Spirit
keep us in eternal life.
Amen

Grace to you and peace from God our Fa- ther
and from/the Lord Je- sus Christ.
Wor-ship the Lord in/the beau-ty of his holi- ness;
let the whole earth trem- ble be- fore him.
Let my prayer be set forth in your sight as in- cense,
the lifting up of my hands as the eve- ning sacri- fice.
I will bless the Lord who gives me coun- sel;
my heart teaches me, night after night.
I have set the Lord al-ways be- fore me;
be-cause he is at my right hand, I shall not fall.
O God, make speed to save us.
O Lord, make haste to help us.
Glory to/the Fath-er, and to/the Son,
and to/the Ho- ly Spi- rit:
as it was in/the be- ginning, is now,
and will be for- ever A- men.
O Gracious Light
Phos hilaron
O Jesus Christ, holy and blessed!
Now as we come to the setting of the sun,
and our eyes behold the vesper light,
You are worthy at all times
O Son of God, O Giver of life,
and to be glorified through all the worlds.
Psalm 94
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
O Lord, the God who a-veng-es!
O God who a-veng-es, re-veal your splen-dor!
Rise up, O judge of/the earth! Pay back the proud!
O Lord, how long will the wicked cel-e-brate?
They spew out threats and speak de-fi-ant-ly;
all the evil-do-ers boast.
O Lord, they crush your peo-ple;
they op-press the na-tion that be-longs to you.
They kill the widow and the resi-dent foreign-er,
and they murder the fa-ther-less.
Then they say, The Lord does not see this;
the God of Ja-cob does not take no-tice of it.
Take no-tice of this, you igno-rant peo-ple!
You fools, when will you ever under-stand?
Does the one who makes the human ear not hear?
Does the one who forms the human eye not see?
Does the one who disci-plines the na-tions not punish?
He is/the one who im-parts knowl-edge to human be-ings!
The Lord knows that peo-ple's thoughts are moral-ly bank-rupt.
How blessed is the one whom you in-struct, O Lord,
the one whom you teach from your law,
in order to pro-tect him from times of trou-ble,
un-til the wicked are de-stroyed.
Certain-ly the Lord does not for-sake his peo-ple;
He does not a-bandon the na-tion that be-longs to him.
For jus-tice will pre-vail,
and all the moral-ly up-right will be vindi-cat-ed.
Who will rise up to de-fend me a-gainst the wick-ed?
Who will stand up for me
a-gainst the evil-do-ers?
If the Lord had not helped me,
I would soon have dwelt in/the si-lence of death.
If I say, My foot is slip-ping,
your loyal love, O Lord, sup-ports me.
When wor-ries threaten to over-whelm me,
your sooth-ing touch makes me hap-py.
Cruel rulers are not your al-lies,
those who make op-pressive laws.
They con-spire a-gainst the blame-less,
and con-demn to death the inno-cent.
But the Lord will pro-tect me, and my God will shelter me.
He will pay them back for their sins.
He will de-stroy them be-cause of their e-vil.
the Lord our God will de-stroy them.
Glory to/the Fath-er, and to/the Son,
and to/the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in/the be-ginning, is now,
and will be for-ever A-men.
Readings
A reading from Philippians 3:15-21
Therefore let those of us who are “perfect” embrace this point of view. If you think otherwise, God will reveal to you the error of your ways. Nevertheless, let us live up to the standard that we have already attained.
Be imitators of me, brothers and sisters, and watch carefully those who are living this way, just as you have us as an example. For many live, about whom I have often told you, and now, with tears, I tell you that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ. Their end is destruction, their god is the belly, they exult in their shame, and they think about earthly things. But our citizenship is in heaven—and we also eagerly await a savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform these humble bodies of ours into the likeness of his glorious body by means of that power by which he is able to subject all things to himself.
Here ends the reading.
Thanks be to God!
Tuesday - Third Song of Isaiah

A-rise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of/the Lord has dawned up-on you.
For be-hold, dark-ness covers the land;
deep gloom en-shrouds the peo-ples.
But over you the Lord will rise,
and his glory will ap-pear up-on you.
Na-tions will stream to your light,
and kings to/the bright-ness of your dawn-ing.
Your gates will al-ways be o-pen;
by day or night they will never be shut.
They will call you, The City of/the Lord,
The Zi-on of/the Ho-ly One of Is-ra-el.
Vio-lence will/no more be heard in your land,
ru-in or de-struc-tion with-in your bor-ders.
You will call your walls, Sal-va-tion,
and all your por-tals, Praise.
The sun will/no more be your light by day;
by night you will/not need the brightness of/the moon.
The Lord will be your ever-last-ing light,
and your God will be your glo-ry.
Glory to/the Fath-er, and to/the Son,
and to/the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in/the be-ginning, is now,
and will be for ever. A-men.
A reading from John 12:20-26
Now some Greeks were among those who had gone up to worship at the feast. So these approached Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and requested, “Sir, we would like to see Jesus.” Philip went and told Andrew, and they both went and told Jesus. Jesus replied, “The time has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. I tell you the solemn truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains by itself alone. But if it dies, it produces much grain. The one who loves his life destroys it, and the one who hates his life in this world guards it for eternal life. If anyone wants to serve me, he must follow me, and where I am, my servant will be too. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.
Here ends the reading.
Thanks be to God!
Tuesday - You are God
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
You are God: we praise you;
You are the Lord; we ac-claim you;
You are the e-ter-nal Fath-er:
All cre-a-tion wor-ships you.
To you all an-gels, all the powers of heav-en,
Cher-u-bim and Ser-a-phim, sing in end-less praise:
Holy, ho-ly, holy Lord, God of power and might,
heav-en and earth are full of your glo-ry.
The glori-ous compan-y of a-postles praises you.
The no-ble fellow-ship of proph-ets praises you.
The white-robed army of mar-tyrs praises you.
Through-out the world the holy Church ac-claims you;
Fath-er, of majes-ty un-bound-ed,
your true and only Son, worthy of all wor-ship,
and the Ho-ly Spi-rit, advo-cate and guide.
Three in one, we praise you for ev-er.
You, Christ, are the king of glo-ry,
the e-ter-nal Son of/the Fath-er.
When you be-came man to set us free
you did not shun the Vir-gin's womb.
You over-came the sting of death
and o-pened the kingdom of heaven to all be-liev-ers.
You are seated at God's right hand in glo-ry.
We be-lieve that you will come and be our judge.
Come then, Lord, and help your peo-ple,
bought with/the price of your own blood,
and bring us with your saints
to glo-ry ever-last-ing.

He de-scended to/the dead.
On the third day he rose a-gain.
He a-scended into heav-en,
and is seated at/the right hand of/the Fath-er.

Your king-dom come,

Show us your mer-cy, O Lord;
And grant us your sal-va-tion.
Clothe your minis-ters with righteous-ness;
Let your people sing with joy.
Give peace, O Lord, in all the world;
For only in you can we live in safe-ty.
Lord, keep this na-tion under your care;
And guide us in/the way of justice and truth.
Let your way be known up-on earth;
Your sav-ing health among all na-tions.

Almighty God, whose Son Jesus Christ in his earthly life shared our toil and hallowed our labor: Be present with your people where they work; make those who carry on the industries and commerce of this land responsive to your will; and give to us all a pride in what we do, and a just return for our labor; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.

Al-might-y God,
