The Lord Al-might-y grant us a peaceful night
and a per-fect end. A-men.
Our help is in/the Name of/the Lord;
The mak-er of heaven and earth.
Al-might-y God, our heaven-ly Fath-er:
We have sinned a-gainst you,
through our own fault,
in thought, and word, and deed,
and in what we have left un-done.
For the sake of your Son
our Lord Je-sus Christ,
for-give us all our of-fens-es;
and grant that we may serve you
in _ new-ness of life,
to the glory] of your Name. A-men.
May the Al-might-y God grant us
for-give-ness of all our sins,
and the grace and comfort of/the Ho-ly Spi-rit. A-men.
O God, make speed to save us.
O Lord, make haste to help us.
Glory to/the Fath-er, and to/the Son,
and to/the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in/the be-ginning, is now,
and will be for-ever A-men.
Psalm 91

As for you, the one who lives in/the shelter of/the Most High,
and re-sides in/the pro-tec-tive shadow of/the Sov-ereign One
I say this a-bout the Lord,
my shelter and my strong-hold, my God in whom I trust
he will certain-ly res-cue you from/the snare of/the hun-ter
and from/the de-struc-tive plague.
He will shelter you with his wings;
you will find safety under his wings.
His faithful-ness is like a shield or/a pro-tec-tive wall.
You need not fear the ter-rors of/the night,
the arrow that flies by day,
the plague that stalks in/the dark-ness,
Nor the dis-ease that ravag-es at noon.
Though a thousand may fall be-side you,
and a multi-tude on your right side, it will not reach you.
Certain-ly you will see it with your very own eyes
you will see the wicked paid back.
For you have taken ref-uge in/the Lord,
The Lord is my shel-ter, the Most High.
No harm will over-take you;
no ill-ness will come near your home.
For he will order his an-gels to pro-tect you in all you do.
They will lift you up in their hands,
so you will not slip and fall on/a stone.
You will sub-due a lion and a snake;
you will tram-ple under-foot a young lion and a ser-pent.
The Lord says, Be-cause he is de-voted to me,
I will de-liver him; I will pro-tect him
Be-cause he is loyal to me.
When he calls out to me, I will an-swer him.
I will be with him when he is in trou-ble;
I will res-cue him and bring him hon-or.
I will satis-fy him with long life,
and will let him see my sal-va-tion.
I will de-liver him; I will pro-tect him
Be-cause he is loyal to me.
Glory to/the Fath-er, and to/the Son
and to/the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in/the be-ginning, is now,
and will be for-ever A-men.
Readings
A reading from John 3:22-30
After this, Jesus and his disciples came into Judean territory, and there he spent time with them and was baptizing. John was also baptizing at Aenon near Salim because water was plentiful there, and people were coming to him and being baptized. (For John had not yet been thrown into prison.)
Now a dispute came about between some of John’s disciples and a certain Jew concerning ceremonial washing. So they came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, the one who was with you on the other side of the Jordan River, about whom you testified—see, he is baptizing, and everyone is flocking to him!”
John replied, “No one can receive anything unless it has been given to him from heaven. You yourselves can testify that I said, ‘I am not the Christ,’ but rather, ‘I have been sent before him.’ The one who has the bride is the bridegroom. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands by and listens for him, rejoices greatly when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. This then is my joy, and it is complete. He must become more important while I become less important.”
Here ends the reading.
Thanks be to God!

The Lord be with you.
And al-so with _ you.
Our Fath-er in heav-en,
hal-low-ed be your Name.
Your king-dom come,
your will be done on earth
as it is in heav-en.
Give us to-day our dai-ly bread.
For-give us our sins
as we _ for-give those
who sin a-gainst us.
Save us from/the time of tri-al,
De-liver us from e-vil.
For the king-dom, the pow-er,
and the glory are yours,
now and for-ever A-men.
Collect of the Day
Look down, O Lord, from your heavenly throne, and illumine this night with your celestial brightness; that by night as by day your people may glorify your holy Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
A Collect for Sundays
Lord God, whose Son our Savior Jesus Christ triumphed over the powers of death and prepared for us our place in the new Jerusalem: Grant that we, who have this day given thanks for his resurrection, may praise you in that City of which he is the light, and where he lives and reigns for ever and ever.
Amen.
Prayer for Mission
O God and Father of all, whom the whole heavens adore: Let the whole earth also worship you, all nations obey you, all tongues confess and bless you, and men and women everywhere love you and serve you in peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Into your hands, O Lord, I com-mend my spi-rit;
For you have re-deemed me, O Lord, O God of truth.
Keep us, O Lord, as the apple of your eye;
Hide us under the shadow of your wings.
Lord, have mer-cy up-on us.
Christ, have mer-cy up-on us.
Lord, hear our prayer;
And let our cry come to you.
Guide us as we wak, O Lord,
and guard us as we sleep;
that a-wake we may watch with Christ,
and a-sleep we may rest in peace.
Lord, you now have set your serv-ant free
to go in peace as you have prom-ised;
For these eyes of mine have seen the Sav-ior,
whom you have pre-pared for all the world to see:
A Light to en-lighten the na-tions,
and the glory of your people Is-ra-el.
The al-mighty and merci-ful Lord,
Fath-er, Son, and Ho-ly Spi-rit, bless and keep us.
Glory to/the Fath-er, and to/the Son,
and to/the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in/the be-ginning, is now,
and will be for-ever A-men.
Guide us as we wak, O Lord,
and guard us as we sleep;
that a-wake we may watch with Christ,
and a-sleep we may rest in peace.
