Grace to you and peace from God our Fa-ther
and from/the Lord Je-sus Christ.
Wor-ship the Lord in/the beau-ty of his holi-ness;
let the whole earth trem-ble be-fore him.
Let my prayer be set forth in your sight as in-cense,
the lifting up of my hands as the eve-ning sacri-fice.
I will bless the Lord who gives me coun-sel;
my heart teaches me, night after night.
I have set the Lord al-ways be-fore me;
be-cause he is at my right hand, I shall not fall.
O God, make speed to save us.
O Lord, make haste to help us.
Glory to/the Fath-er, and to/the Son,
and to/the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in/the be-ginning, is now,
and will be for-ever A-men.
Sunday - O Gracious Light
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
O gra-cious light, pure bright-ness
of the ever-liv-ing Fath-er in heav-en,
O Je-sus Christ, holy and bless-ed!
we sing your prais-es, O God!
Now as we come to/the setting of/the sun,
and our eyes be-hold the ves-per light,
we sing your prais-es, O God:
Fath-er, Son, and Ho-ly Spi-rit.
You are worthy at all times
to be praised by happy voic-es,
O Son of God, O Giver of life,
and to be glori-fied through all the worlds.

Psalm 145

I will ex-tol you, my God, O king!
I will praise your name con-tin-ual-ly!
Eve-ry day I will praise you!
I will praise your name con-tin-ual-ly!
The Lord is great
and certain-ly worthy of praise!
No one can fath-om his great-ness!
One gener-a-tion will praise your deeds to an-oth-er,
And tell a-bout your mighty acts!
I will focus on your hon-or and ma-jes-tic splen-dor,
and your a-mazing deeds!
They will pro-claim the power of your awe-some acts!
I will de-clare your great deeds!
They will talk a-bout the fame of your great kind-ness,
and sing a-bout your jus-tice.
The Lord is merci-ful and com-passion-ate;
He is pa-tient
and demon-strates great loyal love.
The Lord is good to all,
and has com-passion on all he has made.
All your works will give thanks to you, Lord.
Your loyal follow-ers will praise you.
They will pro-claim the splen-dor of your king-dom;
they will tell a-bout your power,
So that man-kind might ac-knowl-edge your mighty acts,
and the ma-jes-tic splen-dor of your king-dom.
Your kingdom is an e-ter-nal king-dom,
and your do-min-ion en-dures through all gener-a-tions.
The Lord sup-ports all who fall,
and lifts up all who are bent o-ver.
Eve-ry-thing looks to you in an-tici-pa-tion,
and you pro-vide them with food on a regu-lar ba-sis.
You o-pen your hand,
and fill eve-ry living thing with/the food they de-sire.
The Lord is just in all his ac-tions,
and ex-hib-its love in all he does.
The Lord is near all who cry out to him,
all who cry out to him sin-cere-ly.
He satis-fies the de-sire of his loyal follow-ers;
he hears their cry for help and de-livers them.
The Lord pro-tects all those who love him,
but he de-stroys all the wick-ed.
My mouth will praise the Lord.
Let all who live praise his holy name for-ev-er!
Glory to/the Fath-er, and to/the Son,
and to/the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in/the be-ginning, is now,
and will be for-ever A-men.
Readings
A reading from Isaiah 44:1-8
“Now, listen, Jacob my servant,
Israel whom I have chosen!”
This is what the Lord, the one who made you, says—
the one who formed you in the womb and helps you:
“Don’t be afraid, my servant Jacob,
Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.
For I will pour water on the parched ground
and cause streams to flow on the dry land.
I will pour my Spirit on your offspring
and my blessing on your children.
They will sprout up like a tree in the grass,
like poplars beside channels of water.
One will say, ‘I belong to the Lord,’
and another will use the name ‘Jacob.’
One will write on his hand, ‘The Lord’s,’
and use the name ‘Israel.’”
This is what the Lord, Israel’s King, says,
their Protector, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies:
“I am the first and I am the last,
there is no God but me.
Who is like me? Let him make his claim!
Let him announce it and explain it to me—
since I established an ancient people—
let them announce future events.
Don’t panic! Don’t be afraid!
Did I not tell you beforehand and decree it?
You are my witnesses! Is there any God but me?
There is no other sheltering rock; I know of none.
Here ends the reading.
Thanks be to God!
Sunday - Second Song of Isaiah
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
Seek the Lord while he wills to/be found;
call up-on him when he draws near.
Let the wicked for-sake their ways
and the evil ones their thoughts;
And let them turn to/the Lord,
and he will have com-passion,
Let then re-turn to our God,
for he will rich-ly par-don.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
nor your ways my ways, says the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways,
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
For as rain and snow fall from/the heav-ens
and re-turns not a-gain,
but wat-ers the whole earth,
Bring-ing forth life
and giving a-bun-dant growth
And seed for re-plan-ting
and bread and fruit for eat-ing,
So is my word that goes forth from my mouth;
it will not re-turn to me emp-ty;
But it will ac-com-plish that which I have pur-posed,
and prosper in that for which I sent it.
Glory to/the Fath-er, and to/the Son,
and to/the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in/the be-ginning, is now,
and will be for-ever A-men.
A reading from 1 John 5:1-12
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been fathered by God, and everyone who loves the father loves the child fathered by him. By this we know that we love the children of God: whenever we love God and obey his commandments. For this is the love of God: that we keep his commandments. And his commandments do not weigh us down, because everyone who has been fathered by God conquers the world.
This is the conquering power that has conquered the world: our faith. Now who is the person who has conquered the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? Jesus Christ is the one who came by water and blood—not by the water only, but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit is the one who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three that testify, the Spirit and the water and the blood, and these three are in agreement.
If we accept the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater because this is the testimony of God that he has testified concerning his Son. (The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has made him a liar because he has not believed in the testimony that God has testified concerning his Son.) And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. The one who has the Son has this eternal life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have this eternal life.
Here ends the reading.
Thanks be to God!

O springs of water, sea, and streams,
O whales and all that move in/the wat-ers.
All birds of/the air, glori-fy the Lord,
praise him and highly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Glori-fy the Lord, O beasts of/the wild,
and all you flocks and herds.
O men and women every-where, glori-fy the Lord,

You that are holy and hum-ble of heart, glori-fy the Lord,
praise him and highly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Let us glori-fy the Lord: Fath-er, Son, and Ho-ly Spi-rit;
praise him and highly ex-alt him for ev-er.
In/the firma-ment of his power, glori-fy the Lord,
praise him and highly ex-alt him for ev-er.

We be-lieve in God, the Fath-er al-might-y,
cre-a-tor of heaven and earth.
We be-lieve in Je-sus Christ,
his on-ly son, our Lord.
He was con-ceived by/the power of/the Ho-ly Spi-rit
and born of/the Vir-gin Mar-y.
He suffered under Pon-tius Pi-late,
was cruci-fied, died, and was bur-ied.
He de-scended to/the dead.
On the third day he rose a-gain.
He a-scended into heav-en,
and is seated at/the right hand of/the Fath-er.
He will come a-gain
to judge the living and the dead.
We be-lieve in/the Ho-ly Spi-rit,
the _ holy catho-lic Church,
the com-mun-ion of saints,

Amen.
A Collect for Sundays
Lord God, whose Son our Savior Jesus Christ triumphed over the powers of death and prepared for us our place in the new Jerusalem: Grant that we, who have this day given thanks for his resurrection, may praise you in that City of which he is the light, and where he lives and reigns for ever and ever.
Amen.
Prayer for Mission
O God and Father of all, whom the whole heavens adore: Let the whole earth also worship you, all nations obey you, all tongues confess and bless you, and men and women everywhere love you and serve you in peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Al-might-y God,
you have given us grace at this time
with one ac-cord
to make our common sup-pli-ca-tion to you;
and you have prom-ised
through your well-be-loved Son
that when two or three are gathered in his Name
you will be in/the midst of them:
Ful-fill now, O Lord, our de-sires and pe-ti-tions
as may be best for us;
granting us in this world knowl-edge of your truth,
and in/the age to come life ever-lasting. A-men.
