Grace to you and peace from God our Fa-ther
and from the Lord Je-sus Christ.
Wor-ship the Lord in the beau-ty of his ho-li-ness;
let the whole earth trem-ble be-fore him.
Let my prayer be set forth in your sight as in-cense,
the lift-ing up of my hands as the eve-ning sac-ri-fice.
I will bless the Lord who gives me coun-sel;
my heart teach-es me, night af-ter night.
I have set the Lord al-ways be-fore me;
be-cause he is at my right hand, I shall not fall.
O God, make speed to save us.
O Lord, make haste to help us.
Glo-ry to the Fath-er, and to the Son,
and to the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in the be-gin-ning, is now,
and will be for ev-er. A-men.
Sunday - O Gracious Light
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
O gra-cious light, pure bright-ness
of the ev-er-liv-ing Fath-er in heav-en,
O Je-sus Christ, ho-ly and bless-ed!
we sing your prais-es, O God!
Now as we come to the set-ting of the sun,
and our eyes be-hold the ves-per light,
we sing your prais-es, O God:
Fath-er, Son, and Ho-ly Spi-rit.
You are wor-thy at all times
to be praised by hap-py voic-es,
O Son of God, O Giv-er of life,
and to be glo-ri-fied through all the world.
Psalms
Psalm 8
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
O Lord, our Lord, how mag-nif-i-cent
is your rep-u-ta-tion through-out the earth!
You re-veal your maj-es-ty in the heav-ens a-bove!
From the mouths of chil-dren and nurs-ing ba-bies
You have or-dained praise on ac-count of your ad-ver-sar-ies,
so that you might put an end to the vin-dic-tive en-e-my.
When I look up at the heav-ens, which your fin-gers made,
and see the moon and the stars, which you set in place,
Of what im-por-tance is the hu-man race,
that you should no-tice them?
Of what im-por-tance is man-kind,
that you should pay at-ten-tion to them?
You made them a lit-tle less than the heav-en-ly be-ings.
You crowned man-kind with hon-or and maj-es-ty.
you ap-point them to rule o-ver your cre-a-tion;
you have placed eve-ry-thing un-der their au-thor-i-ty,
in-clud-ing all the sheep and cat-tle,
as well as the wild an-i-mals,
the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea
and eve-ry-thing that moves through the cur-rents of the sea.
Glo-ry to the Fath-er, and to the Son,
and to the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in the be-gin-ning, is now,
and will be for ev-er. A-men.
Psalm 84
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
How love-ly is the place where you live,
O Lord of Heav-en's Ar-my!
I des-per-ate-ly want to be
in the courts of the Lord's tem-ple.
My heart and my en-tire be-ing
shout for joy to the liv-ing God.
E-ven the birds find a home there,
and the swal-low builds a nest,
where she can pro-tect her young
near your al-tar, O Lord of Heav-en's Ar-my,
my king and my God.
How bless-ed are those who live in your tem-ple
and praise you con-tin-ual-ly!
How bless-ed are those who find their strength in you,
and long to trav-el the roads
that lead to your tem-ple!
As they pass through the Ba-ca Val-ley,
he pro-vides a spring for them.
The rain e-ven cov-ers it with pools of wat-er.
They are sus-tained as they trav-el a-long;
each one ap-pears be-fore God in Zi-on.
O Lord God of Heav-en's Ar-my, hear my prayer!
List-en, O God of Ja-cob, and no-tice our shield!
Show con-cern for your cho-sen king!
Cer-tain-ly spend-ing just one day
in the courts of your tem-ple
is bet-ter than spend-ing a thou-sand days
an-y where else on the earth.
I would ra-ther stand be-fore the tem-ple of my God
than live in the tents of the wick-ed.
For the Lord God is our sove-reign pro-tec-tor.
The Lord be-stows fa-vor and hon-or;
he with-holds no good thing
from those who have in-teg-ri-ty.
O Lord of Heav-en's Ar-my,
how bless-ed are those who trust in you!
Glo-ry to the Fath-er, and to the Son,
and to the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in the be-gin-ning, is now,
and will be for ev-er. A-men.
Readings
A reading from Revelation 18:1-8
After these things I saw another angel, who possessed great authority, coming down out of heaven, and the earth was lit up by his radiance. He shouted with a powerful voice:
“Fallen, fallen, is Babylon the great!
She has become a lair for demons,
a haunt for every unclean spirit,
a haunt for every unclean bird,
a haunt for every unclean and detested beast.
For all the nations have fallen from
the wine of her immoral passion,
and the kings of the earth have committed sexual immorality with her,
and the merchants of the earth have gotten rich from the power of her sensual behavior.”
Then I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, so you will not take part in her sins and so you will not receive her plagues, because her sins have piled up all the way to heaven and God has remembered her crimes. Repay her the same way she repaid others; pay her back double corresponding to her deeds. In the cup she mixed, mix double the amount for her. As much as she exalted herself and lived in sensual luxury, to this extent give her torment and grief because she said to herself, ‘I rule as queen and am no widow; I will never experience grief!’ For this reason, she will experience her plagues in a single day: disease, mourning, and famine, and she will be burned down with fire, because the Lord God who judges her is powerful!”
Here ends the reading.
Thanks be to God!
Sunday - Second Song of Isaiah
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
Seek the Lord while he wills to be found;
call up-on him when he draws near.
Let the wick-ed for-sake their ways
and the e-vil ones their thoughts;
And let them turn to the Lord,
and he will have com-pas-sion,
Let then re-turn to our God,
for he will rich-ly par-don.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
nor your ways my ways, says the Lord.
For as the heav-ens are high-er than the earth,
so are my ways high-er than your ways,
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
For as rain and snow fall from the heav-ens
and re-turns not a-gain,
but wat-ers the whole earth,
Bring-ing forth life
and giv-ing a-bun-dant growth
And seed for re-plan-ting
and bread and fruit for eat-ing,
So is my word that goes forth from my mouth;
it will not re-turn to me emp-ty;
But it will ac-com-plish that which I have pur-posed,
and pros-per in that for which I sent it.
Glo-ry to the Fath-er, and to the Son,
and to the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in the be-gin-ning, is now,
and will be for ev-er. A-men.
A reading from Matthew 5:21-26
“You have heard that it was said to an older generation, ‘Do not murder,’ and ‘whoever murders will be subjected to judgment.’ But I say to you that anyone who is angry with a brother will be subjected to judgment. And whoever insults a brother will be brought before the council, and whoever says ‘Fool’ will be sent to fiery hell. So then, if you bring your gift to the altar and there you remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother and then come and present your gift. Reach agreement quickly with your accuser while on the way to court, or he may hand you over to the judge, and the judge hand you over to the warden, and you will be thrown into prison. I tell you the truth, you will never get out of there until you have paid the last penny!
Here ends the reading.
Thanks be to God!
Sunday - Song of Creation

Glo-ri-fy the Lord, all you works of the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
In the fir-ma-ment of his pow-er, glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Glo-ri-fy the Lord, you an-gels and all pow-ers of the Lord,
O heav-ens and all wat-ers a-bove the heav-ens.
Sun and moon and stars of the sky, glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Glo-ri-fy the Lord, eve-ry show-er of rain and fall of dew,
all winds and fire and heat.
Win-ter and Sum-mer, glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Glo-ri-fy the Lord, O chill and cold,
drops of dew and flakes of snow.
Frost and cold, ice and sleet, glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Glo-ri-fy the Lord, O nights and days,
O shin-ing light and en-fold-ing dark.
Storm clouds and thun-der-bolt, glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Let the earth glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Glo-ri-fy the Lord, O moun-tains and hills, and all that grows up-on the earth,
praise him for ev-er. Glo-ri-fy the Lord,
O springs of wa-ter, sea, and streams,
O whales and all that move in the wat-ers.
All birds of the air, glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Glo-ri-fy the Lord, O beasts of the wild,
and all you flocks and herds.
O men and women eve-ry-where, glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Let the peo-ple of God glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Glo-ri-fy the Lord, O priests and serv-ants of the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Glo-ri-fy the Lord, O spirits and souls of the right-eous
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
You that are ho-ly and hum-ble of heart, glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Let us glo-ri-fy the Lord: Fath-er, Son, and Ho-ly Spi-rit;
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
In the fir-ma-ment of his pow-er, glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Prayers
Sunday Creed
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
We be-lieve in God, the Fath-er al-might-y,
cre-a-tor of heav-en and earth.
We be-lieve in Je-sus Christ,
his on-ly son, our Lord.
He was con-ceived by the pow-er of the Ho-ly Spi-rit
and born of the Vir-gin Ma-ry.
He suf-fered un-der Pon-tius Pi-late,
was cru-ci-fied, died, and was bur-ied.
He de-scend-ed to the dead.
On the third day he rose a-gain.
He a-scend-ed into heav-en,
and is seat-ed at the right hand of the Fath-er.
He will come a-gain
to judge the liv-ing and the dead.
We be-lieve in the Ho-ly Spi-rit,
the ho-ly cath-o-lic Church,
the com-mun-ion of saints,
the for-give-ness of sins,
the res-ur-rec-tion of the bod-y,
and the life ev-er-last-ing. A-men.
Sunday - Our Father
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
The Lord be with you.
And al-so with you. A-men.
Our Fath-er in heav-en,
hal-low-ed be your Name.
Your king-dom come,
your will be done, on earth as in heav-en.
Give us to-day our dai-ly bread.
For-give us our sins as we for-give those who sin a-gainst us.
Save us from the time of tri-al,
and de-liv-er us from e-vil.
For the king-dom, the pow-er, and the glo-ry are yours,
now and for ev-er. A-men.

That this eve-ning may be ho-ly, good, and peace-ful,
We en-treat you, O Lord.
That your ho-ly an-gels may lead us in paths of peace and good-will,
We en-treat you, O Lord.
That we may be par-doned and for-giv-en for our sins and of-fenses,
We en-treat you, O Lord.
That there may be peace to your Church and to the whole world,
We en-treat you, O Lord.
That we may de-part this life in your faith and fear,
and be freed from con-dem-na-tion
be-fore the great judg-ment seat of Christ,
We en-treat you, O Lord.
That we may be bound to-geth-er by your Ho-ly Spi-rit
in the com-mun-ion of Bar-na-bas and all your saints,
en-trust-ing one an-oth-er and all our life to Christ,
We en-treat you, O Lord.
Collect of the Day
O God, you have prepared for those who love you such good things as surpass our understanding: Pour into our hearts such love towards you, that we, loving you in all things and above all things, may obtain your promises, which exceed all that we can desire; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
A Collect for Sundays
Lord God, whose Son our Savior Jesus Christ triumphed over the powers of death and prepared for us our place in the new Jerusalem: Grant that we, who have this day given thanks for his resurrection, may praise you in that City of which he is the light, and where he lives and reigns for ever and ever.
Amen.
Prayer for Mission
O God and Father of all, whom the whole heavens adore: Let the whole earth also worship you, all nations obey you, all tongues confess and bless you, and men and women everywhere love you and serve you in peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
A Prayer of Saint Chrysostom
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
Al-might-y God,
you have giv-en us grace at this time
with one ac-cord
to make our com-mon sup-pli-ca-tion to you;
and you have prom-ised
through your well-be-lov-ed Son
that when two or three are ga-thered to-geth-er in his Name
you will be in the midst of them:
Ful-fill now, O Lord, our de-sires and pe-ti-tions
as may be best for us;
grant-ing us in this world knowl-edge of your truth,
and in the age to come life ev-er-last-ing. A-men.
