Grace to you and peace from God our Fa-ther
and from the Lord Je-sus Christ.
Wor-ship the Lord in the beau-ty of his ho-li-ness;
let the whole earth trem-ble be-fore him.
Let my prayer be set forth in your sight as in-cense,
the lift-ing up of my hands as the eve-ning sac-ri-fice.
I will bless the Lord who gives me coun-sel;
my heart teach-es me, night af-ter night.
I have set the Lord al-ways be-fore me;
be-cause he is at my right hand, I shall not fall.
O God, make speed to save us.
O Lord, make haste to help us.
Glo-ry to the Fath-er, and to the Son,
and to the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in the be-gin-ning, is now,
and will be for ev-er. A-men.
Sunday - O Gracious Light
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
O gra-cious light, pure bright-ness
of the ev-er-liv-ing Fath-er in heav-en,
O Je-sus Christ, ho-ly and bless-ed!
we sing your prais-es, O God!
Now as we come to the set-ting of the sun,
and our eyes be-hold the ves-per light,
we sing your prais-es, O God:
Fath-er, Son, and Ho-ly Spi-rit.
You are wor-thy at all times
to be praised by hap-py voic-es,
O Son of God, O Giv-er of life,
and to be glo-ri-fied through all the world.

Psalm 111

Praise the Lord! Al-le-lu-ja!
I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart,
in the as-sem-bly of the god-ly and the con-gre-ga-tion.
Great are the deeds of the Lord,
And ea-ger-ly a-wait-ed by all who de-sire them.
His work is ma-jes-tic and glo-ri-ous,
and his faith-ful-ness en-dures for-ev-er.
He does a-maz-ing things that will be re-mem-bered;
The Lord is mer-ci-ful and com-pas-sion-ate.
He gives food to his faith-ful fol-low-ers;
he al-ways re-mem-bers his cov-e-nant.
He an-nounced that he would do might-y deeds for his peo-ple,
He gave them a land that be-longed to oth-er na-tions.
His acts are full of faith-ful-ness and jus-tice;
all his pre-cepts are re-li-a-ble.
They are for-ev-er firm,
They should be faith-ful-ly and prop-er-ly car-ried out.
He de-liv-ered his peo-ple;
he or-dained that his cov-e-nant be ob-served for-ev-er.
His name is ho-ly and awe-some.
To o-bey the Lord is the fun-da-men-tal princi-ple for wise liv-ing;
All who car-ry out his pre-cepts
ac-quire good mor-al in-sight.
He will re-ceive praise for-ev-er.
Glo-ry to the Fath-er, and to the Son,
and to the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in the be-gin-ning, is now,
and will be for ev-er. A-men.
Psalm 112
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
Praise the Lord! Al-le-lu-ja!
How bless-ed is the one who o-beys the Lord,
who takes great de-light in keep-ing his com-mands.
His de-scen-dants will be pow-er-ful on the earth;
The god-ly will be bless-ed.
His house con-tains wealth and rich-es;
his in-teg-ri-ty en-dures.
In the dark-ness a light shines for the god-ly,
For each one who is mer-ci-ful, com-pas-sion-ate, and just.
It goes well for the one who gen-er-ous-ly lends mon-ey,
and con-ducts his busi-ness hon-est-ly.
For he will nev-er be shak-en;
Oth-ers will al-ways re-mem-ber one who is just.
He does not fear bad news.
He is con-fi-dent; he trusts in the Lord.
His re-solve is firm; he will not suc-cumb to fear
And so he looks in tri-umph on his en-e-my.
He gen-er-ous-ly gives to the need-y;
his in-teg-ri-ty en-dures.
He will be vin-di-cat-ed and ho-nored.
When the wick-ed see this, they will wor-ry;
they will grind their teeth in frus-tra-tion and melt a-way;
the de-sire of the wick-ed will per-ish.
How bless-ed is the one who o-beys the Lord,
Glo-ry to the Fath-er, and to the Son,
and to the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in the be-gin-ning, is now,
and will be for ev-er. A-men.
Psalm 113
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
Praise the Lord! Praise!
You serv-ants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord!
May the Lord's name be praised
now and for-ev-er more!
From east to west the Lord's name is de-serv-ing of praise.
The Lord is ex-alt-ed o-ver all the na-tion;
his splen-dor reach-es be-yond the sky.
Who can com-pare to the Lord our God?
Who sits on a high throne?
He bends down to look at the sky and the earth.
He rais-es the poor from the dirt,
and lifts up the need-y from the gar-bage pile,
That he might seat him with princ-es,
with the princ-es of his peo-ple.
He makes the bar-ren wom-an of the fam-i-ly
a hap-py moth-er of chil-dren. Praise the Lord!
Glo-ry to the Fath-er, and to the Son,
and to the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in the be-gin-ning, is now,
and will be for ev-er. A-men.
Readings
A reading from Revelation 4:1-11
After these things I looked, and there was a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet said: “Come up here so that I can show you what must happen after these things.” Immediately I was in the Spirit, and a throne was standing in heaven with someone seated on it! And the one seated on it was like jasper and carnelian in appearance, and a rainbow looking like it was made of emerald encircled the throne. In a circle around the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on those thrones were twenty-four elders. They were dressed in white clothing and had golden crowns on their heads. From the throne came out flashes of lightning and roaring and crashes of thunder. Seven flaming torches, which are the seven spirits of God, were burning in front of the throne and in front of the throne was something like a sea of glass, like crystal.
In the middle of the throne and around the throne were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back. The first living creature was like a lion, the second creature like an ox, the third creature had a face like a man’s, and the fourth creature looked like an eagle flying. Each one of the four living creatures had six wings and was full of eyes all around and inside. They never rest day or night, saying:
“Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God, the All-Powerful,
Who was and who is, and who is still to come!”
And whenever the living creatures give glory, honor, and thanks to the one who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders throw themselves to the ground before the one who sits on the throne and worship the one who lives forever and ever, and they offer their crowns before his throne, saying:
“You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
since you created all things,
and because of your will they existed and were created!”
Here ends the reading.
Thanks be to God!
Sunday - Second Song of Isaiah
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
Seek the Lord while he wills to be found;
call up-on him when he draws near.
Let the wick-ed for-sake their ways
and the e-vil ones their thoughts;
And let them turn to the Lord,
and he will have com-pas-sion,
Let then re-turn to our God,
for he will rich-ly par-don.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
nor your ways my ways, says the Lord.
For as the heav-ens are high-er than the earth,
so are my ways high-er than your ways,
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
For as rain and snow fall from the heav-ens
and re-turns not a-gain,
but wat-ers the whole earth,
Bring-ing forth life
and giv-ing a-bun-dant growth
And seed for re-plan-ting
and bread and fruit for eat-ing,
So is my word that goes forth from my mouth;
it will not re-turn to me emp-ty;
But it will ac-com-plish that which I have pur-posed,
and pros-per in that for which I sent it.
Glo-ry to the Fath-er, and to the Son,
and to the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in the be-gin-ning, is now,
and will be for ev-er. A-men.
A reading from Mark 6:1-6
Now Jesus left that place and came to his hometown, and his disciples followed him. When the Sabbath came, he began to teach in the synagogue. Many who heard him were astonished, saying, “Where did he get these ideas? And what is this wisdom that has been given to him? What are these miracles that are done through his hands? Isn’t this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And aren’t his sisters here with us?” And so they took offense at him. Then Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown, and among his relatives, and in his own house.” He was not able to do a miracle there, except to lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them. And he was amazed because of their unbelief. Then he went around among the villages and taught.
Here ends the reading.
Thanks be to God!

Glo-ri-fy the Lord, all you works of the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
In the fir-ma-ment of his pow-er, glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Glo-ri-fy the Lord, you an-gels and all pow-ers of the Lord,
O heav-ens and all wat-ers a-bove the heav-ens.
Sun and moon and stars of the sky, glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Glo-ri-fy the Lord, eve-ry show-er of rain and fall of dew,
all winds and fire and heat.
Win-ter and Sum-mer, glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Glo-ri-fy the Lord, O chill and cold,
drops of dew and flakes of snow.
Frost and cold, ice and sleet, glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Glo-ri-fy the Lord, O nights and days,
O shin-ing light and en-fold-ing dark.
Storm clouds and thun-der-bolt, glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Let the earth glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Glo-ri-fy the Lord, O moun-tains and hills, and all that grows up-on the earth,
praise him for ev-er. Glo-ri-fy the Lord,
O springs of wa-ter, sea, and streams,
O whales and all that move in the wat-ers.
All birds of the air, glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Glo-ri-fy the Lord, O beasts of the wild,
and all you flocks and herds.
O men and women eve-ry-where, glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Let the peo-ple of God glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Glo-ri-fy the Lord, O priests and serv-ants of the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Glo-ri-fy the Lord, O spirits and souls of the right-eous
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
You that are ho-ly and hum-ble of heart, glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Let us glo-ri-fy the Lord: Fath-er, Son, and Ho-ly Spi-rit;
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
In the fir-ma-ment of his pow-er, glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Prayers
Sunday Creed
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
We be-lieve in God, the Fath-er al-might-y,
cre-a-tor of heav-en and earth.
We be-lieve in Je-sus Christ,
his on-ly son, our Lord.
He was con-ceived by the pow-er of the Ho-ly Spi-rit
and born of the Vir-gin Ma-ry.
He suf-fered un-der Pon-tius Pi-late,
was cru-ci-fied, died, and was bur-ied.
He de-scend-ed to the dead.
On the third day he rose a-gain.
He a-scend-ed into heav-en,
and is seat-ed at the right hand of the Fath-er.
He will come a-gain
to judge the liv-ing and the dead.
We be-lieve in the Ho-ly Spi-rit,
the ho-ly cath-o-lic Church,
the com-mun-ion of saints,
the for-give-ness of sins,
the res-ur-rec-tion of the bod-y,
and the life ev-er-last-ing. A-men.
Sunday - Our Father
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
The Lord be with you.
And al-so with you. A-men.
Our Fath-er in heav-en,
hal-low-ed be your Name.
Your king-dom come,
your will be done, on earth as in heav-en.
Give us to-day our dai-ly bread.
For-give us our sins as we for-give those who sin a-gainst us.
Save us from the time of tri-al,
and de-liv-er us from e-vil.
For the king-dom, the pow-er, and the glo-ry are yours,
now and for ev-er. A-men.

in the com-mun-ion of Bar-na-bas and all your saints,

We en-treat you, O Lord.
Collect of the Day
O God, you have prepared for those who love you such good things as surpass our understanding: Pour into our hearts such love towards you, that we, loving you in all things and above all things, may obtain your promises, which exceed all that we can desire; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
A Collect for Sundays
Lord God, whose Son our Savior Jesus Christ triumphed over the powers of death and prepared for us our place in the new Jerusalem: Grant that we, who have this day given thanks for his resurrection, may praise you in that City of which he is the light, and where he lives and reigns for ever and ever.
Amen.
Prayer for Mission
O God and Father of all, whom the whole heavens adore: Let the whole earth also worship you, all nations obey you, all tongues confess and bless you, and men and women everywhere love you and serve you in peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
A Prayer of Saint Chrysostom
Tenor Soprano Response Cantor Bass Alto PDF All
Al-might-y God,
you have giv-en us grace at this time
with one ac-cord
to make our com-mon sup-pli-ca-tion to you;
and you have prom-ised
through your well-be-lov-ed Son
that when two or three are ga-thered to-geth-er in his Name
you will be in the midst of them:
Ful-fill now, O Lord, our de-sires and pe-ti-tions
as may be best for us;
grant-ing us in this world knowl-edge of your truth,
and in the age to come life ev-er-last-ing. A-men.
