Psalm 30 Exaltabo te, Domine

All     Cantor     Response     Soprano     Alto     Tenor     Bass

I will ex-alt you, O Lord, be-cause you have lift-ed me up
and have not let my en-e-mies tri-umph o-ver me.
O Lord my God, I cried out to you,
and you re-stored me to health.

You brought me up, O Lord, from the dead;
you re-stored my life as I was go-ing down to the grave.
Sing to the Lord, you serv-ants of his;
give thanks for the re-mem-brance of his ho-li-ness.

For his wrath en-dures but the twin-kling of an eye,
his fa-vor for a life-time.
Weep-ing may spend the night,
but joy comes in the morn-ing.

While I felt se-cure, I said, I shall nev-er be dis-turbed.
You, Lord, with your fa-vor, made me as strong as the moun-tains.
Then you hid your face,
and I was filled with fear.

I cried to you, O Lord;
I plead-ed with the Lord, say-ing,
What prof-it is there in my blood, if I go down to the Pit?
will the dust praise you or de-clare your faith-ful-ness?

Hear, O Lord, and have mer-cy upon me;
O Lord, be my help-er.
You have turned my wail-ing into danc-ing;
you have put off my sack-cloth and clothed me with joy.

There-fore my heart sings to you with-out ceas-ing;
O Lord my God, I will give you thanks for-ev-er.
There-fore my heart sings to you without ceas-ing;
O Lord my God, I will give you thanks for-ev-er.
