Even Song - Pentecost Sunday

Sunday - Evensong Invitation

Tenor     Soprano     Response     Cantor     Bass     Alto     All

Grace to you and peace from God our Fa-ther
and from the Lord Je-sus Christ.
Wor-ship the Lord in the beau-ty of his ho-li-ness;
let the whole earth trem-ble be-fore him.

Let my prayer be set forth in your sight as in-cense,
the lift-ing up of my hands as the eve-ning sac-ri-fice.
I will bless the Lord who gives me coun-sel;
my heart teach-es me, night af-ter night.

I have set the Lord al-ways be-fore me;
be-cause he is at my right hand, shall not fall.
O God, make speed to save us.
O Lord, make haste to help us.

Glo-ry to the Fath-er, and to the Son,
and to the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in the be-gin-ning, is now,
and will be for ev-er. A-men.

Sunday - O Gracious Light

Tenor     Soprano     Response     Cantor     Bass     Alto     All

O gra-cious light, pure bright-ness
of the ev-erl-liv-ing Fath-er in heav-en,
O Je-sus Christ, ho-ly and bless-ed!
we sing your prais-es, God!

Now as we come to the set-ting of the sun,
and our eyes be-hold the ves-per light,
we sing your prais-es, God:
Fath-er, Son, and Ho-ly Spi-rit.

You are wor-thy at all times
to be praised by hap-py voic-es,
O Son of God, O Giv-er of life,
and to be glo-ri-fied through all the world.

Psalm 145

Tenor     Soprano     Response     Cantor     Bass     Alto     All

I will ex-tol you, my God, king!
I will praise your name con-tin-ual-ly!
Eve-ry day I will praise you!
I will praise your name con-tin-ual-ly!

The Lord is great
and cer-tain-ly wor-thy of praise!
No one can fath-om his great-ness!
One gen-er-a-tion will praise your deeds to an-oth-er,

And tell a-bout your might-acts!
I will fo-cus on your ho-nor and ma-jes-tic splen-dor,
and your a-maz-ing deeds!
They will pro-claim the pow-er of your awe-some acts!

I will de-clare your great deeds!
They will talk a-bout the fame of your great kind-ness,
and sing a-bout your jus-tice.
The Lord is mer-ci-ful and com-pas-sion-ate;

He is pa-tient
and dem-on-strates great loy-al love.
The Lord is good to all,
and has com-pas-sion on all he has made.

All your works will give thanks to you, Lord.
Your loy-al fo-llow-ers will praise you.
They will pro-claim the splen-dor of your king-dom;
they will tell a-bout your pow-er,

So that man-kind might ac-knowl-edge your might-acts,
and the ma-jes-tic splen-dor of your king-dom.
Your king-dom is an e-ter-nal king-dom,
and your do-min-ion en-dures through all gen-er-a-tions.

The Lord sup-ports all who fall,
and lifts up all who are bent o-ver.
Eve-ry-thing looks to you in an-tic-i-pa-tion,
and you pro-vide them with food on a reg-u-lar ba-sis.

You o-pen your hand,
and fill eve-ry liv-ing thing with the food they de-sire.
The Lord is just in all his ac-tions,
and ex-hib-its love in all he does.

The Lord is near all who cry out to him,
all who cry out to him sin-cere-ly.
He sat-is-fies the de-sire of his loy-al fol-low-ers;
he hears their cry for help and de-liv-ers them.

The Lord pro-tects all those who love him,
but he de-stroys all the wick-ed.
My mouth will praise the Lord.
Let all who live praise his ho-ly name for-ev-er!

Glo-ry to the Fath-er, and to the Son,
and to the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in the be-gin-ning, is now,
and will be for ev-er. A-men.

A reading from Isaiah 11:1-9

A shoot will grow out of Jesse’s root stock,
a bud will sprout from his roots.

The Lord’s Spirit will rest on him –
a Spirit that gives extraordinary wisdom,
a Spirit that provides the ability to execute plans,
a Spirit that produces absolute loyalty to the Lord.

He will take delight in obeying the Lord.
He will not judge by mere appearances,
or make decisions on the basis of hearsay.

He will treat the poor fairly,
and make right decisions for the downtrodden of the earth.
He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth,
and order the wicked to be executed.

Justice will be like a belt around his waist,
integrity will be like a belt around his hips.

A wolf will reside with a lamb,
and a leopard will lie down with a young goat;
an ox and a young lion will graze together,
as a small child leads them along.

A cow and a bear will graze together,
their young will lie down together.
A lion, like an ox, will eat straw.

A baby will play
over the hole of a snake;
over the nest of a serpent
an infant will put his hand.

They will no longer injure or destroy
on my entire royal mountain.
For there will be universal submission to the Lord’s sovereignty,
just as the waters completely cover the sea.

Here ends the reading.
Thanks be to God!

Sunday - Song of Three Young Men

Tenor     Soprano     Response     Cantor     Bass     Alto     All

Glo-ri-fy the Lord, all you works of the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
In the fir-ma-ment of his pow-er, glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.

Glo-ri-fy the Lord, you an-gels and all pow-ers of the Lord,
O heav-ens and all wa-ters a-bove the heav-ens.
Sun and moon and stars of the sky, glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.

Glo-ri-fy the Lord, eve-ry show-er of rain and fall of dew,
all winds and fire and heat.
Win-ter and Sum-mer, glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.

Glo-ri-fy the Lord, O chill and cold,
drops of dew and flakes of snow.
Frost and cold, ice and sleet, glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.

Glo-ri-fy the Lord, O nights and days,
O shin-ing light and en-fold-ing dark.
Storm clouds and thun-der bolts, glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.

Let the earth glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Glo-ri-fy the Lord, moun-tains and hills, and all that grows
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.

Glo-ri-fy the Lord, O springs of wa-ter, sea, and stream,
O whales and all that move in the wa-ters.
All birds of the air, glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.

Glo-ri-fy the Lord, O beasts of the wild,
and all you flocks and herds.
O men and women eve-ry-where, glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.

Let the peo-ple of God glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
Glo-ri-fy the Lord, O priests and serv-ants of the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.

Glo-ri-fy the Lord, O spi-rits and souls of the right-eous,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
You that are ho-ly and hum-ble of heart, glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.

Let us glo-ri-fy the Lord: Fath-er, Son, and Ho-ly Spi-rit;
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.
In the fir-ma-ment of his pow-er, glo-ri-fy the Lord,
praise him and high-ly ex-alt him for ev-er.

A reading from John 4:19-26

The woman said to him, “Sir, I see that you are a prophet. Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you people say that the place where people must worship is in Jerusalem. ” Jesus said to her, “Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. You people worship what you do not know. We worship what we know, because salvation is from the Jews. But a time is coming – and now is here – when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such people to be his worshipers. God is spirit, and the people who worship him must worship in spirit and truth. ” The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (the one called Christ); “whenever he comes, he will tell us everything. ” Jesus said to her, “I, the one speaking to you, am he. ”

Here ends the reading.
Thanks be to God!

Sunday - Song of Mary

Tenor     Soprano     Response     Cantor     Bass     Alto     All

My soul pro-claims the great-ness of the Lord,
my spi-rit re-joic-es in God my Sav-ior;
for he has looked with fa-vor on his low-ly serv-ant.
From this day all gen-er-a-tions will call me blessed:

the Al-might-y has done great things for me,
and ho-ly is his Name.
He has mer-cy on those who fear him
in eve-ry gen-er-a-tion.

He has shown the strength of his arm,
he has scat-tered the proud in their con-ceit.
He has cast down the might-y from their thrones,
and has lift-ed up the low-ly.

He has filled the hun-gry with good things,
and the rich he has sent a-way emp-ty.
He has come to the help of his serv-ant Is-ra-el,
for he has re-mem-bered his prom-ise of mer-cy,

The prom-ise he made to our fath-ers,
to A-bra-ham and his chil-dren for-ev-er.
My soul pro-claims the great-ness of the Lord,
my spi-rit re-joic-es in God my Sav-ior;

Glo-ry to the Fath-er, and to the Son,
and to the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in the be-gin-ning, is now,
and will be for ev-er. A-men.

Sunday Creed

Tenor     Soprano     Response     Cantor     Bass     Alto     All

We be-lieve in God, the Fath-er al-might-y,
cre-a-tor of heav-en and earth.
We be-lieve in Je-sus Christ,
his on-ly son, our Lord.

He was con-ceived by the pow-er of the Ho-ly Spi-rit
and born of the Vir-gin Ma-ry.
He suf-fered un-der Pon-tius Pi-late,
was cru-ci-fied, died, and was bur-ied.

He de-scend-ed to the dead.
On the third day he rose a-gain.
He a-scend-ed into heav-en,
and is seat-ed at the right hand of the Fath-er.

He will come a-gain
to judge the liv-ing and the dead.
We be-lieve in the Ho-ly Spi-rit,
the ho-ly cath-o-lic Church,

the com-mun-ion of saints,
the for-give-ness of sins,
the res-ur-rec-tion of the bod-y,
and the life ev-er-last-ing. A-men.

Sunday - Our Father

Tenor     Soprano     Response     Cantor     Bass     Alto     All

The Lord be with you.
And al-so with you. A-men.
Our Fath-er in heav-en,
hal-low-ed be your Name.

Your king-dom come,
your will be done, on earth as in heav-en.
Give us to-day our dai-ly bread.
For-give us our sins as we for-give those who sin a-gainst us.

Save us from the time of tri-al,
and de-liv-er us from e-vil.
For the king-dom, the pow-er, and the glo-ry are yours,
now and for ev-er. A-men.

Sunday - Suffrages B

Tenor     Soprano     Response     Cantor     Bass     Alto     All

That this eve-ning may be ho-ly, good, and peace-ful,
We en-treat you, Lord.
That your ho-ly an-gels may lead us in paths of peace and good-will,
We en-treat you, Lord.

That we may be par-doned and for-giv-en for our sins and of-fenses,
We en-treat you, Lord.
That there may be peace to your Church and to the whole world,
We en-treat you, Lord.

That we may de-part this life in your faith and fear,
and be freed from con-dem-na-tion
be-fore the great judg-ment seat of Christ,
We en-treat you, Lord.

That we may be bound to-geth-er by your Ho-ly Spi-rit
in the com-mun-ion of Bar-na-bas and all your saints,
en-trust-ing one an-oth-er and all our life to Christ,
We en-treat you, Lord.

O God, you have prepared for those who love you such good things as surpass our understanding: Pour into our hearts such love towards you, that we, loving you in all things and above all things, may obtain your promises, which exceed all that we can desire; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.

A Collect for Sundays
Lord God, whose Son our Savior Jesus Christ triumphed over the powers of death and prepared for us our place in the new Jerusalem: Grant that we, who have this day given thanks for his resurrection, may praise you in that City of which he is the light, and where he lives and reigns for ever and ever.
Amen.

Prayer for Mission
O God and Father of all, whom the whole heavens adore: Let the whole earth also worship you, all nations obey you, all tongues confess and bless you, and men and women everywhere love you and serve you in peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.

A Prayer of Saint Chrysostom

Tenor     Soprano     Response     Cantor     Bass     Alto     All

Al-might-God,
you have giv-en us grace at this time
with one ac-cord
to make our com-mon sup-pli-ca-tion to you;

and you have prom-ised
through your well-be-lov-ed Son
that when two or three are ga-thered to-geth-er in his Name
you will be in the midst of them:

Ful-fill now, O Lord, our de-sires and pe-ti-tions
as may be best for us;
grant-ing us in this world knowl-edge of your truth,
and in the age to come life ev-er-last-ing. A-men.

Sunday - Closing Blessings

Tenor     Soprano     Response     Cantor     Bass     Alto     All

The grace of our Lord Je-sus Christ,
and the love of God our Fath-er,
and the fel-low-ship of the Ho-ly Spi-rit,
be with us all ev-er-more. A-men.

Thanks be to God!
May the God of hope fill us
with all joy and peace in be-liev-ing
through the pow-er of the Ho-ly Spi-rit. A-men.

Morning Song - Pentecost Sunday

Easter Sunday Invitation

Tenor     Soprano     Response     Cantor     Bass     Alto     All

Al-le-lu-ia! Christ is ris-en.
The Lord is ris-en in-deed. Al-le-lu-ia!
O give thanks to the Lord, and call up-on his Name;
make known his deeds a-mong the peo-ples.

Thus says the high and loft-One
who in-hab-its e-ter-ni-ty,
whose name is Ho-ly,
I dwell in the high and ho-ly place

and al-so with the one who has a con-trite and hum-ble spi-rit,
to re-vive the spi-rit of the hum-ble and to re-vive the heart of the con-trite.
Lord, o-pen our lips.
And our mouth shall pro-claim your praise.

Glo-ry to the Fath-er, and to the Son,
and to the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in the be-gin-ning, is now,
and will be for ev-er. A-men.

Sunday - Christ our Passover

Tenor     Soprano     Response     Cantor     Bass     Alto     All

Al-le-lu-ia. Christ our Pass-o-ver has been sac-ri-ficed for us;
there-fore let us keep the feast,
Not with old leav-en, the leav-en of mal-ice and e-vil,
but with the un-leav-ened bread of sin-cer-i-ty and truth. Al-le-lu-ia.

Christ be-ing raised from the dead will nev-er die a-gain;
death no long-er has do-min-ion o-ver him.
The death that he died, he died to sin, once for all;
but the life he lives, he lives to God.

So al-so con-sid-er your-selves dead to sin,
and a-live to God in Je-sus Christ our Lord. Al-le-lu-ia.
Christ has been raised from the dead,
the first fruits of those who have fall-en a-sleep.

For since by a man came death,
by a man has come al-so the res-ur-rec-tion of the dead.
For as in A-dam all die,
so in Christ shall all be made a-live. Al-le-lu-ia.

Psalm 118

Tenor     Soprano     Response     Cantor     Bass     Alto     All

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good
and his loy-al love en-dures!
Let Is-ra-el say,
Yes, his loy-al love en-dures!

Let the fam-i-ly of Aa-ron say,
Yes, his loy-al love en-dures!
Let the loy-al fol-low-ers of the Lord say,
Yes, his loy-al love en-dures!

In my dis-tress I cried out to the Lord.
and the Lord an-swered me
He put me in a wide o-pen place.
The Lord is on my side, am not a-fraid!

What can peo-ple do to me?
The Lord is on my side as my help-er.
I look in tri-umph
on all those who hate me.

It is bet-ter to take shel-ter in the Lord
than to trust in peo-ple.
It is bet-ter to take shel-ter in the Lord
than to trust in princ-es.

All the na-tions sur-round-ed me.
In-deed, in the name of the Lord
I pushed them all a-way
when they sur-round-ed me, yes, they sur-round-ed me.

In-deed, in the name of the Lord
pushed them all a-way.
They sur-round-ed me like bees.
But they dis-ap-peared as quick-ly as fire a-mong thorns.

In-deed, in the name of the Lord
pushed them all a-way.
You ag-gres-sive-ly at-tacked me
and tried to knock me down,

but the Lord helped me.
The Lord gives me strength and pro-tects me;
he has be-come my de-liv-er-er.
They cel-e-brate de-liv-er-ance in the tents of the god-ly.

The Lord's right hand con-quer,
the Lord's right hand gives vic-to-ry,
The Lord's right hand con-quer,
will not die, but live,

I will pro-claim what the Lord has done.
The Lord se-vere-ly pun-ished me,
but he did not hand me o-ver to death.
O-pen for me the gates of the just king's tem-ple!

I will en-ter through them and give thanks to the Lord.
This is the Lord's gate and the god-ly en-ter through it.
I will give you thanks, for you an-swered me,
and have be-come my de-liv-er-er.

The stone which the build-ers re-ject-ed
has be-come the cor-ner-stone.
This is the Lord's work.
We con-sid-er it a-maz-ing!

This is the day the Lord has brought a-bout.
We will be hap-py and re-joice in it.
Please Lord, de-liv-er!
Please Lord, grant us suc-cess!

May the one who comes in the name of the Lord be blessed!
We will pro-nounce bles-sings on you in the Lord's tem-ple.
The Lord is God and he has de-liv-ered us.
Tie the of-fer-ing with ropes to the horns of the al-tar!

You are my God and I will give you thanks!
You are my God and will praise you!
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good
and his loy-al love en-dures for-ev-er!

Glo-ry to the Fath-er, and to the Son,
and to the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in the be-gin-ning, is now,
and will be for ev-er. A-men.

A reading from Deuteronomy 16:9-12

You must count seven weeks; you must begin to count them from the time you begin to harvest the standing grain. Then you are to celebrate the Feast of Weeks before the Lord your God with the voluntary offering that you will bring, in proportion to how he has blessed you. You shall rejoice before him – you, your son, your daughter, your male and female slaves, the Levites in your villages, the resident foreigners, the orphans, and the widows among you – in the place where the Lord chooses to locate his name. Furthermore, remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and so be careful to observe these statutes.

Here ends the reading.
Thanks be to God!

Sunday - Song of Zechariah

Tenor     Soprano     Response     Cantor     Bass     Alto     All

Bless-ed be the Lord, the God of Is-ra-el;
he has come to his peo-ple and set them free.
He has raised up for us a might-sav-ior,
born of the house of his serv-ant Da-vid.

Through his ho-ly proph-ets he prom-ised of old,
that he would save us from our en-e-mies,
from the hands of all who hate us.
He prom-ised to show mer-cy to our fath-ers

and to re-mem-ber his ho-ly cov-e-nant.
This was the oath he swore to our fath-er A-bra-ham,
to set us free from the hands of our en-e-mies,
Free to wor-ship him with-out fear,

ho-ly and right-eous in his sight
all the days of our life.
And you, my child, shall be called
the proph-et of the Most High,

for you will go be-fore the Lord to pre-pare his way,
To give his peo-ple knowl-edge of sal-va-tion
by the for-give-ness of their sins.
In the ten-der com-pas-sion of our God

the dawn from on high shall break up-on us,
To shine on those who dwell in dark-ness
and the shad-ow of death,
and to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Glo-ry to the Fath-er, and to the Son,
and to the Ho-ly Spi-rit:
as it was in the be-gin-ning, is now,
and will be for ev-er. A-men.

A reading from Acts 4:18-21, 23-33

And they called them in and ordered them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John replied, “Whether it is right before God to obey you rather than God, you decide, for it is impossible for us not to speak about what we have seen and heard. ” After threatening them further, they released them, for they could not find how to punish them on account of the people, because they were all praising God for what had happened.

When they were released, Peter and John went to their fellow believers and reported everything the high priests and the elders had said to them. When they heard this, they raised their voices to God with one mind and said, “Master of all, you who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and everything that is in them, who said by the Holy Spirit through your servant David our forefather,

Why do the nations rage,
and the peoples plot foolish things?
The kings of the earth stood together,
and the rulers assembled together,
against the Lord and against his Christ. ’

“For indeed both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, assembled together in this city against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed, to do as much as your power and your plan had decided beforehand would happen. And now, Lord, pay attention to their threats, and grant to your servants to speak your message with great courage, while you extend your hand to heal, and to bring about miraculous signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus. ” When they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God courageously.

The group of those who believed were of one heart and mind, and no one said that any of his possessions was his own, but everything was held in common. With great power the apostles were giving testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was on them all.

Here ends the reading.
Thanks be to God!

Sunday - You are God

Tenor     Soprano     Response     Cantor     Bass     Alto     All

You are God: we praise you;
You are the Lord; we ac-claim you;
You are the e-ter-nal Fath-er:
All cre-a-tion wor-ships you.

To you all an-gels, all the pow-ers of heav-en,
Cher-u-bim and Ser-a-phim, sing in end-less praise:
Ho-ly, ho-ly, ho-ly Lord, God of pow-er and might,
heav-en and earth are full of your glo-ry.

The glo-ri-ous com-pa-ny of a-pos-tles praise you.
The no-ble fel-low-ship of proph-ets praise you.
The white robed ar-my of mar-tyrs praise you.
Through-out the world the ho-ly Church ac-claims you;

Fath-er, of maj-es-ty un-bound-ed,
your true and on-ly Son, wor-thy of all wor-ship,
and the Ho-ly Spi-rit, ad-vo-cate and guide.
Three in one, we praise you for ev-er.

You, Christ, are the king of glo-ry,
the e-ter-nal Son of the Fath-er.
When you be-came man to set us free
you did not shun the Vir-gin's womb.

You o-ver-came the sting of death
and o-pened the king-dom of heav-en to all be-liev-ers.
You are seat-ed at Gods right hand in glo-ry.
We be-lieve that you will come and be our judge.

Come then, Lord, and help your peo-ple,
bought with the price of your own blood,
and bring us with your saints
to glo-ry ev-er-last-ing.

Sunday Creed

Tenor     Soprano     Response     Cantor     Bass     Alto     All

We be-lieve in God, the Fath-er al-might-y,
cre-a-tor of heav-en and earth.
We be-lieve in Je-sus Christ,
his on-ly son, our Lord.

He was con-ceived by the pow-er of the Ho-ly Spi-rit
and born of the Vir-gin Ma-ry.
He suf-fered un-der Pon-tius Pi-late,
was cru-ci-fied, died, and was bur-ied.

He de-scend-ed to the dead.
On the third day he rose a-gain.
He a-scend-ed into heav-en,
and is seat-ed at the right hand of the Fath-er.

He will come a-gain
to judge the liv-ing and the dead.
We be-lieve in the Ho-ly Spi-rit,
the ho-ly cath-o-lic Church,

the com-mun-ion of saints,
the for-give-ness of sins,
the res-ur-rec-tion of the bod-y,
and the life ev-er-last-ing. A-men.

Sunday - Our Father

Tenor     Soprano     Response     Cantor     Bass     Alto     All

The Lord be with you.
And al-so with you. A-men.
Our Fath-er in heav-en,
hal-low-ed be your Name.

Your king-dom come,
your will be done, on earth as in heav-en.
Give us to-day our dai-ly bread.
For-give us our sins as we for-give those who sin a-gainst us.

Save us from the time of tri-al,
and de-liv-er us from e-vil.
For the king-dom, the pow-er, and the glo-ry are yours,
now and for ev-er. A-men.

Sunday - Suffrages A

Tenor     Soprano     Response     Cantor     Bass     Alto     All

Show us your mer-cy, Lord;
And grant us your sal-va-tion.
Clothe your min-is-ters with right-eous-ness;
Let your peo-ple sing with joy.

Give peace, O Lord, in all the world;
For on-ly in you can we live in safe-ty.
Lord, keep this na-tion un-der your care;
And guide us in the way of jus-tice and truth.

Let your way be known up-on earth;
Your sav-ing health a-mong all na-tions.
Let not the need-y, O Lord, be for-got-ten;
Nor the hope of the poor be tak-en a-way.

Cre-ate in us clean hearts, God;
And sus-tain us with your Ho-ly Spi-rit.
Show us your mer-cy, Lord;
And grant us your sal-va-tion.

O God, you make us glad with the weekly remembrance of the glorious resurrection of your Son our Lord: Give us this day such blessing through our worship of you, that the week to come may be spent in your favor; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

A Prayer for Mission
Lord Jesus Christ, you stretched out your arms of love on the hard wood of the cross that everyone might come within the reach of your saving embrace: So clothe us in your Spirit that we, reaching forth our hands in love, may bring those who do not know you to the knowledge and love of you; for the honor of your Name. Amen.

General Thanksgiving

Tenor     Soprano     Response     Cantor     Bass     Alto     All

Al-might-y God, Fa-ther of all mer-cies,
we your un-wor-thy serv-ants give you hum-ble thanks
for all your good-ness and lov-ing kind-ness
to us and to all whom you have made.

We bless you for our cre-a-tion, pres-er-va-tion,
and all the bles-sings of this life;
but a-bove all for your im-meas-ur-a-ble love
in the re-demp-tion of the world by our Lord Je-sus Christ;

for the means of grace, and for the hope of glo-ry.
And, we pray, give us such an a-ware-ness of your mer-cy,
that with tru-ly thank-ful hearts
we may show forth your praise,

not on-ly with our lips, but in our lives,
by giv-ing up our selves to your ser-vice,
and by walk-ing be-fore you
in ho-li-ness and right-eous-ness all our days;

through Je-sus Christ our Lord,
to whom, with you and the Ho-ly Spi-rit,
be ho-nor and glo-ry
through-out all the ag-es. A-men.
